Absolute madness. Anyone who can't have fun with Doom doesn't like games. FFS a Pong machine is still great fun, I had my kids hooked on an old Pac-Man cab on holiday last year, they adored it. A whole lot of old games are miracles.

Watched the first half hour of Beast Games and it made me so angry I bashed out 1500 words on my day off. It is somehow even more crass and exploitative than the worst of his YouTube content, and that’s saying something. And a lot of the contestants are absolute melts, to boot.

I understand Evertonians want a team that is competitive at the other end of the table, & it doesn’t help Liverpool are so strong right now. But you’ve got to be realistic, Dyche inherited a mess and (mostly) had to work with what was there. He can leave with his head held high.

Ernie Hudson also has the secret to eternal life. The original cast all look their age, which is *old*, and no shame in that of course. That dude looks like he walked off the set of Ghostbusters 2 a few months ago. He’s 79 and looks in his forties.

Watched Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, thought it was the best film they’ve managed since the original two. A few lulls in otherwise great dialogue, but the “possessor” ghost especially was wonderful and creatively used, and I adore Ray Stantz as a slightly washed-up ghost junkie.

@DanDawkins Part of United’s problem is they’re so big, the money is always there for a change or a new signing, while the players make bank and are treated like kings regardless of on-pitch success. So hard to rebuild that brutal but elite mentality they used to have.
