@thedeepdaleway I agree in some games, against counter attacking Oxford who win their games with 25% possession on average. It would be tactical suicide attempting that. You want that sort of approach against someone like Ipswich when they have wingers like Clarke who don’t want to come back

@thedeepdaleway 2) we attempted to play to the opposition last night.. Hughes, Offiah both class in the air and don’t fly forward against a team that get all their goals from counter attacks and set plays really isn’t poor management! Inividual mistakes cost us, not the team that started

@RichManning10 1/2 Vuckevic has played LB all his career and plays left back for the national team. Pol has literally played RB all of his career. If you had a clue about football you'd know when one FB bombs on the other tucks in to form a 3. #pnefc

1 win in 10 since January, everyone improved. We got a lot worse! I called it at the time, every fan can feel that disappointment that we didn’t push on, you can’t tell me the players don’t feel let down too

@RichManning10 I’ve commented on set plays. Helik was left free to do whatever he wanted. Was clever movement and we’ve slept. Think whiteman and Thompson were good today. As was Milly.

Hughes played most of his career at left back. Offiah played most of his youth career and at B*pool at right back. This was our best back 4 on paper. The goals also came from set plays which has absolutely nothing to do with formation! 😂

@PNEChatter Again, that’s not why we’ve lost today’s game! Incapabilty of defending set plays, a woeful individual performance by someone by your logic playing in his best position and midfield second to every dual and second ball. That’s what lost us that game

@RichManning10 Hughes been lcb here for us for absolutely years. Offiah playing right back against poor opposition is fine, he has no attacking output in this division against good defenders. I love the kid, but he’s a centre back.
