My computer hard drives have many folders of photographs I have never sorted out. Occasionally I like to delve in and pick one out to process. This is an Iberian Bluethroat that was found high in the Gredos mountains of central Spain back in 2017.

Photographing warblers in reed beds is always a game of patience and waiting for them to appear in the right place to get a view unobscured by stems. Certainly not recommended on a windy day. A Sedge Warbler in song this morning.

Green woodpeckers are a very wary bird, so it was a vey slow and careful crawl to reach this feeding male.

An early morning crawl, to spend some time with a male Wheatear

Not a native bird, but the Red-legged Partridge is a nice splash of colour and pattern on a Spring evening.

After a cold night, a male Wheatear warms in the sun before continuing its migration northwards.

Happy to get a few photos of a local Cetti's Warbler this week.....tricky birds to photograph.
