@AzorcanGlobal Perhaps they hope Knoblauch stays on as an Assistant Coach? I know it seems far-fetched but I just don't see Knoblauch as an effective Head Coach anywhere in the league. He can stay, help win a cup then move on at the completion of his contract. Something like Playfair in CGY.

With the rumours of the #Oilers wanting to talk to Cassidy, and probably others as well. Why is Knoblauch still employed when they are clearly looking to make a change. Let him go find his next opportunity.

I still think he gives them a solid 3-4 years and hits LTIR to recover until retirement. Or he could play til he's 40. I know if I'm him I want to play. Tough on the body tho.

@Rich_Does_X @FriedgeHNIC You pay 6 mil for 4 years then buy out at 3 mil for the next four years. Cap goes up so much you don't even notice the dead space. I've seen a few teams make deals like this. The NHL is going to have to address it in the next cba. This is cap circumvention.
