They're all fiction though. And I think "to kill a mockingbird" is the whole black rapist was actually-just-framed trope, which now that we have cameras everywhere isn't really a thing anymore. Kinda like how miracles stopped happening. Same with the whole "anti-black police" myth once mandatory bodycams happened. So no, the state shouldn't be forced to make kids read a fictional book about something that never happens.
