Is NATO past its sell by date? After all, if article 5 is so subjective that any member can choose whether to support or not, then what is the point. Radical idea, but if Putin isn’t fearful of NATO, then why have US bases in European countries? After all, where is the benefit?

JD Vance dismissing Britain as ‘some random country’ which hasn’t ’fought a war for 30/40 years’ is beneath contempt. British forces fought alongside US troops in Iraq (twice) and Afghanistan. In recent years. Is he stupid? Or just ignorant?

To those telling Zelensky to give up fighting, what have you got to say to Putin, the leader who started this war and the one leader who’s still not called for peace? He’s demanding Ukraine hands him territory that he’s still not occupied, as a pre-condition for simply participating in negotiations.

I would like to make a point about the Ukraine/Russia War. I believe it is the most important point. Here it is: Right now, as you are reading this, a Ukrainian or Russian teen was in all likelihood killed in action. Why? For what? Ukraine cannot win this war. What Zelenskyy wants is for the US and/or NATO to literally start fighting the Russians, and that's not going to happen because nobody wants nuclear Armageddon and the end of humanity (except possibly Zelenskyy). So what is the ONLY option? Answer: mark the boundaries where they are right now and stop fighting. Trump knows this. Vance knows this. Anyone with a brain who understands war knows this. THERE IS NO OTHER OPTION. And anybody who disagrees with what I just said is either a bloodthirsty warmonger, a lobotomite midwit, or both. Face reality people.

To the hand-wringing Europeans who felt offended by President Trump rejecting being lectured by President Zelensky: Be my guest to defend Ukraine from Putin. It is long past time for the Europeans to show they are capable of defending their own continent.   They’ve allowed their militaries to be hollowed out and when Europe speaks, no bad guy listens.   I say this with great sadness: The last group of people that I would count on to defend freedom are the Europeans.

Ultimately Trump bragged that ending the Ukraine war would be the easiest deal, done in a day. It made him desperate to deal, any deal, so as not to lose face. Now he's left the door open to China to step in as arbitrator & deal maker - a more experienced and wily regime, always on the lookout for resources.

Just to point out to the Trump fanbase - the only innocent lives being lost are those from Ukraine. Whilst the MAGA crowd believes yesterday was a star performance - the world has now seen Trump as a basic schoolboy bully. #SlavaUkraini
