@DiscGolfGuru Being dead honest - I can’t say I’m very excited. Especially compared to Olympus. Would love to be proven wrong - but have watched multiple practice rounds and just kinda blah. Like every hole. With that said - I hope pros and fans love it. Need new markets w awesome courses👍

Am I one of the few looking forward to the Big Easy Open? The length, little ground play, a new course that is extremely challenging, I think will be a great event to test the mentality of all the players. #discgolf #dgpt #bigeasyopen

@MW_DiscGolf Matt I would love to know more. Been thinking of grabbing a few. Would you put anywhere near as good as Discrafts Chainstar with its triple chains. I believe Doomsday has triple as well. Thanks

I know we have some Doomsday peeps out here, I had never seen these before but they catch good! Very similar to the Arroyo baskets

@DGDumpsterFire @Cardzilla_ To distinguish this DGDF in CZ’s favor using your example - I can imagine player going right to edge and due to different color and surface easier for both player (surface and can feel under foot) & card mates (color) to know throw was legal vs illegal. But hoping for the best

@Cardzilla_ How is there confusion for that but this is totally fine? The optics are different but the teepad is the teepad. And if youre a professional they can tie dye it into a yin yang and it shouldn't make a difference in you being able to stay in the designated rectangle

I thought this was a potential issue with the painted box. This whole thing is just not it

@BroseffUp @Cardzilla_ I kinda concur with CZ here. While obviously speculating - the fact is there are for sure many holes on tour where pros prefer pushing to the very edge of a tee pad to get a preferred line & having same surface pad/out of pad could very well cause some unnecessary bang bang calls

@Crunchy_DG @DGDumpsterFire BS Crunch in the sense of gravel goes a long way. You are talking about yards and yards of concrete vs probably 1/12 dump truck worth of 3/4 Minus or maybe some 411 stone. Gravel looks better and lasts very long time. Basically right tool for right problem. Cheers

@Crunchy_DG @DGDumpsterFire I hate being neg online or in general but lines, paint - no matter - it’s just ugly and dumb. This is a tunnel shot 80-90% of that concrete (outside box) will never be used on 95%+ of shots. IMHO - In general people that play disc golf want to be in nature. Not surr by concrete

These are great and I hope they end up at a lot more places.

@Crunchy_DG @DGDumpsterFire Yep. Mainly agree. Smaller ones let’s see how things go - no doubt. But these huge ones - if I was running tour - I’d say never again. Eyesore and completely unnecessary. Learn to tee off within a set distance and width - that is apart of game. Safety sure. Erosion is BS concern

@RichardPeters @DGDumpsterFire I mostly understand the "why" of the expansion outside the regular teepad (but i don't like it in this application). Especially for reducing injuries due to slipping off the edges and helping prevent erosion... The big one is overkill, i'd love to see the smaller one though.

@Crunchy_DG Horrible. Hate every bit of it. Look. Sustainably. Etc Also I would say I am a moderate fan of Houck. Love many of his courses but feel he isn’t plugged into modern pro level disc golf. He hates any type of artificial OB and hates seeing rollaways on greens coming off cage, etc

I'm a John Houck fan, full stop. These teepads are a lot overkill.

Like top ten 1-8 should be wow, great, awesome. Somewhere eventually your more critical questions would land IMHO.

Steve, Todd, Jeff, DGPT touring staff - all these people do what they do cause they LOVE disc golf. Now - have some PE firm buy & charge $25 a hot dog. Sure. Ask away, but right now as fans we should 😊

@DGDumpsterFire I’d like see a breakdown of where the sponsorship dollars will go. How much, if any of the money, will go toward each events purse? Will the Tour Championship get back the larger payout we had a few years ago? Will announcers get a raise?

@DiscGolfGuru @DGDumpsterFire 3/ He didn’t buy tour to make money and that intention is if ever “make money” to put it right back into the Tour. Are things perfect, no of course not. Do I still want Terry and Ian. Sure I do. But does it make sense to fly Terry to Oregon and back 10x a year?? Eventually need..
