.@SophyRidgeSky Isn't it the job of a journalist to dig beneath the headline? The net migration figure of 171,000 looks encouraging until you examine what is driving it. Net migration for British nationals was negative at minus 136,000, and net migration for EU nationals was also negative at minus 42,000, meaning more people left the UK than arrived in both groups. The fall is substantially driven by British and European citizens leaving the country, not by a reduction in non-EU arrivals. That's not a policy achievement. It's a warning sign about what is actually happening to this country. Non-EU net migration still stands at 350,000. Total long-term immigration to the UK was 813,000 in the year ending December 2025. Nearly a million arrivals in a single year is not a secure Britain. And the net migration figure says nothing at all about illegal immigration. Channel crossings hit 46,000 last year, up on the year before, with the 200,000 cumulative milestone reached this month. Hotel use may be down but those unvetted men have not left. They have been dispersed into communities. This week a BBC undercover team found an established payment system for illegal Channel crossings operating out of a phone shop in Woolwich, with a refund policy if the boat sinks. Assaults on women and girls have risen. The headline is 171,000. The reality is 813,000 arrivals, 46,000 illegal crossings and corner shops processing payments for people smugglers. What this government calls security is a statistical illusion.

🚨 We have a gang of dangerous foreigners on the loose in Grimsby attempting to rob people late at night with machetes Two reports in the last 24 hours around Grimsby town Centre, 3 men believe to be African origin, late 30s-40s two of them were of bulky build and one was skinny, asked young on way home from work as he left the train station for money He refused then one pulled out machete and the young lad ran for his life until they stopped chasing Are they migrants that have just been moved to our area, gangs of foreigners robbing people is something we don't usually see here in Grimsby. This young man no longer feels safe in his home town he was born and raised in and will be picked up from the train station by his dad in future 😔 Police have requested cctv from the shop on the video and the railway station, let's hope these b*stards are caught asap!

Wow, look at that. Another "Far Right" conspiracy theory that the government now acknowledges, years after imported criminal networks are entrenched and completely preventable crimes have been committed. If you want to spot the "dodgy shops", here's a hint: they're new, have neon signs and no customers, and are staffed by bored Pashtuns. Just like Nayib Bukele identifying MS-13 members using face tattoos, you can eyeball it and hit a money laundering front for drugs and people smuggling every time.
Home Office@ukhomeoffice

A new High Street Organised Crime Unit will target rogue shops like barbers and vape stores to tackle organised crime on our high streets. The unit will work with police to identify gaps in enforcement and stop criminals setting up their networks in the first place.

I am proud to announce local businesswoman Rebecca Shepherd as our Restore Britain candidate for the Makerfield constituency. Rebecca has spent most of her adult life living and working in the Wigan borough, where she has built and run her own small business. Through that experience, she understands first-hand the pressures facing local businesses and working people across the community. Like so many residents, Rebecca has seen the growing impact of rising costs, increasing legislation, red tape, and bureaucracy, which continue to make everyday life more challenging for ordinary people trying to work hard, support their families, and stay afloat. Put simply - she understands what local men and women are going through. This is the type of person we need in politics. Not career politicians, but genuine people with real life experience. Rebecca is particularly passionate about improving SEND access and support across the local area. Her interest in SEND-friendly activities comes through the work she does within her Community Interest Company, where she has seen first-hand the importance of opportunities, practical support, and activities for people with additional needs. Rebecca is standing for Makerfield because she believes local people deserve honest representation, accountability, and someone prepared to fight for the interests of the community rather than their own political careers. I look forward to campaigning with Rebecca, and putting forward Restore Britain’s positive vision for the Makerfield constituency. Rupert Lowe, Restore Britain Leader Our local priorities: Safer streets for women and girls - tackling the gangs of foreign men who harass and intimidate local women and girls in Ashton, and elsewhere across the constituency and the Wigan Borough. Fight reckless overdevelopment in areas including South Hindley, and Winstanley - roads, dentists and GPs must come before responsible house building provided for local families. Improved SEND support for those in genuine need - we must avoid overdiagnosis, but also provide proper investment to those who need it. Including a constituency-wide investment programme for the improvement and maintenance of children’s playgrounds. Tackle anti-social behaviour in Ashton and elsewhere - no-nonsense, visible policing to crack down on criminal activity in our towns. Parents too must be held responsible for what their children are inflicting on the community. We say enough is enough. Restore our high streets - push for free car parking to drive footfall, abolish business rates to reinvigorate our town centres and deliver a full investigation into the explosion of vape shops and Turkish barbers for trading standards/immigration non-compliance. We are in this to win it.

I just like most usually think of meditation is usually subjective and silent. But this installation turns a monk’s brain activity into ripples and reflections, you are watching thought resonance happen in real time. Showcasing how powerful thoughts can be.

The Black Opinion
The Black Opinion@opinion_black·
I am conflicted. Am I a ‘racist?’ Am I a ‘far right thug?’ The reason I am now asking myself these fairly serious questions is that Prime Minister Keir Starmer has made clear that those attending the massive Unite march tomorrow are those things. Last year I attended that march because I wanted to speak first hand what those on that march really thought. I spoke to a great deal of people. I was spoken to with respect, politeness and made a few friends in the process. I dint hear a single racist comment, did not witness any violence and did not site the ‘far right thugs’ that Starmer spoke about. I am a black man with a black missus, black children, majority of black friends. I also have many white friends that I have experienced great times who have shown me great love. We speak openly about many things and I do not consider them my enemies. They have a right to their opinions. Starmer is seeking to cause consternation division and confrontation tomorrow. His behaviour is truly despicable. If he had any decency left in him he would be ashamed of himself. #Truth
