@MikePavlik8 @TheRealCoach_JB @SteveKim323 Coach, baseball is organized rest. You cant compare, your analogy im football terms is have batter take three pitchers at once throw fast balls at a batter to condition him to get hit by ball. Their is a reason why the nfl cba only allows 14 padded regular season practices.

@TheRealCoach_JB @SteveKim323 The only way to play full speed is practice at full speed. Especially football. Im a baseball guy. You need to see 90-95 in practice to hit it in games. You can’t just hit soft toss all day. Same applies here.

@DBaldwin1967 Yes , so if 5 in box and r 5 block their 5 and huge splits the defenders have 3 way go. So 5 x 3 = 15 lanes ways. In combination u dont worry backside so u reduce gaps, B,A, A-, b- and point lineman can play agressive because a trail man.

Line wise the horrible part of that offense is 3 and 4 footsplits. U cant develop combination blocks or passing off twists.

@CoachTatum90 A lot of factors go into demanding coaching, depending on age and whats position or sport being coached, a mental mistake or a reminder. In O-Line its so techincal u have get fundamentals down like a new wrestling move before a player can go full speed because of hesitency.

@Coach___Clem It simulates a Knockback (Can be Run or pass when looks like 4 to a side but one D-Line crosses over center midline and DL drops so you Knock back) or what McNally Calls a Rewind on Run and seal, it also teaches going from right handed stance and creates quick 2nd step.

Why Coaching Is Harder Than People Think (A Holiday Reminder)… Because coaching isn’t just about plays, drills, or game nights. It’s about people. It’s about walking into practice every day and managing emotions you didn’t create but are responsible for. Your own. Your players. Your assistants. Parents. Administrators. Fans. It’s about teaching kids who are all at different stages. Different maturity levels. Different confidence levels. Different home situations. And somehow holding them to the same standards while still meeting them where they are. It’s about decisions that look simple from the stands but feel heavy from the sideline. Who plays. When. Why. How you communicate it. And how that decision might land on a 16-year-old who ties their identity to minutes. It’s about losing sleep over kids who won’t buy in. Over conversations you need to have. Over mistakes you replay in your head long after everyone else moved on. It’s about being judged by people who see the outcome, not the process. The scoreboard, not the hours. The result, not the relationships. And yet, you show up again. You plan. You teach. You model. You care. As the season slows and the holidays arrive, this is the reminder: What you do matters. Even when it goes unseen. Even when it feels heavy. Even when it’s hard. Coaching is about influence. And influence lasts longer than any season. That’s why coaching is harder than people think. And also why it matters so much. As the year winds down, I hope you find a little rest, a little perspective, and a lot of pride in the work you’re doing. 🎄Happy Holidays, Coach.

My old Coach at Green Bay, Hall of Famer Forrest Gregg use to say, "I don't want Front Runners" when we were loosing. His words resonated with a group of young men two (200lb, #54 & #65) playing JC Ball who battled all year and TE #85 who moved to LT #67 or forfeit more games.

@JordanSig Its a Lag-Draw Jordan, Run Play but you draw to simulate pass and in Pass RB often stay in and Read Mike to Sam or Mike to Will so LB drop and then QB hands off.

Here’s a successful run on the left side. But Zach Tom does not come up to reach his blocking target. He almost makes the tackle.
