Hassett: "Last night, I was in a restaurant and I asked every waiter, 'How much money did you make?' now that they're doing their taxes because of the no tax on tips. The lowest answer was $3,000 and the highest was $10,000. This is really an economy that can't be slowed down."

Ridiculous. 4th-largest oil reserves in the world. $2.09 per litre at the pumps. It's time to build pipelines, refineries and an energy policy that puts Canada, and Canadians, first! 🇨🇦

Joly gets asked about the possibility of removing the federal fuel tax. Guess what? They are taking note of the prices. She then unbelievably tells the press they shouldn’t be asking her any other questions other than what she was at this event for.

Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman, the de facto ruler of the kingdom, responded to an insult from the U.S. president by saying: “We will no longer purchase American weapons!” Trump’s attempt to appease the Prince by approving a deal to sell F-35 jets did not help. He seems to believe that grievances can always be forgotten with a nice box of chocolates. Refusing U.S. arms purchases represents hundreds of billions of dollars for the American economy. In 2023 alone, Saudi Arabia spent $75 billion on procurement and maintenance. Trump is tearing the country apart!

Let’s call this what it is, it’s not just hypocrisy, it’s moral fraud. Franklin Graham had no problem demonizing Barack Obama, a faithful husband, scandal-free, disciplined, educated, Black man, the very embodiment of the “bootstraps” gospel white evangelicals preach about, as some kind of threat, even suggesting that he was antichrist. Yet, the same Graham bows in reverence to Donald Trump, an adjudicated rapist, convicted felon, unrepentant racist, porn star banging, pathological liar, with a trail of infidelity, exploitation, documented racism, and associations with convicted child sex traffickers, and has the caucasity to call him “raised up by God.” That’s not discernment, that’s deception, dishonesty, and disregard for the sacred text he claims to believe. The standard didn’t change, the subject did. Obama’s integrity was dismissed because he was Black. Trump’s corruption is sanctified because he is white and politically useful. Graham isn’t applying scripture, he’s weaponizing it. He ignores sin when it serves power, then quotes the Bible to justify the very wickedness it condemns. That’s not Christianity, that’s idolatry of whiteness, wrapped in religious language and draped in a flag. This is hypocrisy at its highest level: Calling evil good when it benefits you, and calling good evil when it threatens your power. And then having the audacity to say God said it.

It turns out that sitting in the Supreme Court with his arms folded and a pout on his face may not have been the genius move Donald thought it was. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can’t even anymore… How many embarrassing Canadian moments have gone viral this week alone? An NDP convention consumed by ideological posturing, where purity tests matter more than practical solutions for Canadians. An awards show, the Junos, that felt less like a celebration of music and more like a publicly funded service announcement, pushing messaging instead of showcasing artists. And now, in the middle of a fatal aviation tragedy, the national conversation shifts from pilot deaths to language politics. At some point, you have to ask: What are we actually prioritizing? Because this is not a distraction anymore. It’s a pattern. We are choosing optics over reality. Narratives over facts. Performative debates over serious issues that actually affect people’s lives. And if we can’t even focus on loss of life without turning it into a political talking point, then something is deeply off. Not just with our institutions, but with us. Because if we can’t tell what matters anymore, we shouldn’t be surprised when nothing does.

Trump's now bored with Iran. After having destroyed the US relationship with Saudi Arabia, leaving Middle Eastern cities open to constant Iranian drones attacks, burning through a decade of interceptor stockpiles, having turned Ukraine into the savior of Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi, Jordan and UAE and having removed Russia sanctions and doubled the price of oil, the moron President can now return to his previous role of looting the US economy and attacking Ukraine.

It’s frankly embarrassing, and an indictment of those that lead us, that gas prices in Canada have spiked to over $2 per litre because of a conflict on the other side of the world. We have, right here in Canada, the fourth largest oil reserves on the planet. Pipelines should have been built 10 years ago. Refineries should have been built 10 years ago. We should have an energy policy that puts Canada, and Canadians, first. This is ridiculous.

Some very good journalism from MSNBC, reporting on all the fabricated stories that Donald Trump has told over the last year. It’s embarrassing. The guy is either brazenly lying or riddled with dementia—likely both—but either way, that boy ain’t right.
