Did my Mother-in-law's brakes this weekend, $200 in parts for Brakes and Rotors because the shop she went to quoted her $1500. In what world is a brake job $1300 in labor
I was quoted $900 to patch this hole. $900 for a patch job! These prices are getting out of hand. I'm about to buy a bucket of joint compound and just do it myself.
@DeAngelisCorey That 21K figure is an outlier. An average figure is several thousand less and in many states, it’s less <15K.
One teacher can probably teach 14 elementary kids, not sure how many single teachers are qualified to teach high school subjects as diverse as calculus and civics.
Government schools spend $21,456 per child per year.
Imagine if that money went directly to families instead.
A teacher could set up a microschool with just 14 students and pull in $300,384 a year.
@kirawontmiss If I'm expected to pay an extra $24 for my meal, so the waitstaff can have a better paycheck, why not raise their wages and do away with tipping. I'd still be paying the same amount regardless.
This is becoming a serious problem.
In multiple locations across Japan, mosques and Islamic facilities are being built or expanded **without proper permits and without submitting the required applications**.
They are simply ignoring Japanese laws and procedures.
This is not a minor administrative issue.
This is a clear case of some groups deliberately bypassing the rules that every Japanese citizen and legitimate business must follow.
We Japanese are expected to strictly obey building codes, environmental regulations, and local ordinances.
Yet certain foreign religious groups appear to think they are exempt from these basic requirements.
When people come to Japan and immediately start ignoring our laws and procedures, it shows a fundamental lack of respect for the country and its people.
Japan has every right to demand that everyone — regardless of religion or nationality — follows the same rules.
No exceptions.
No special treatment.
Japan must protect its sovereignty and rule of law.
I don’t understand why every vehicle isn’t a hybrid.
Why not use regenerative braking to charge a battery in every car?
Huge increase in gas mileage.
Why do they still make non-hybrids?
@end3of6days9 Me, cuz I'm that guy, would have the store manager standing by my side while I call corporate to talk to the highest person there and have the manager explain to them why they have moldy lumber on display and why I can't buy clean lumber until the moldy is sold.
At Lowe’s in Norwich, New York, they told this guy he had to buy the moldy lumber first before they’d let him get to the good stuff.
He went digging through the pile and found mold on pretty much everything. When he asked if they could pull down the clean two-by-fours from the top, they said no — not until all the moldy wood was gone.
Here’s the part that feels off: This is wood meant for building walls and homes. If it’s already covered in mold, most people wouldn’t want to use it inside their house without treating it first. That means the customer would have to spend their own time and money to fix something that should’ve been clean and usable to begin with.
Forcing people to buy the moldy stuff before they can access the good lumber just doesn’t seem right. Why should the customer have to pay extra to correct a problem that started at the store?
Would you be okay with a store making you buy spoiled food items before they’d sell you the good ones? This feels like the same idea, just with lumber instead of food.
@WarBot3000@japan_nobunaga All the walmarts I go to here in PA, have firearms, typically shotguns and rifles. And, sell ammo for each. I'll have to look, again, the next time I'm at one to see if any of them sell revolvers as I can't remember at the moment.
@japan_nobunaga Not at Walmart anymore. Not even ammo. They stopped that a few years ago. We do have gun shops that sell guns, ammo, attachments, and other things.
Hello from Japan 🇯🇵👋
I have a question for Americans 🇺🇸🙋
I've never seen a real gun in my life.
Only in anime and movies.
Is it true that Americans sometimes see guns
at stores like Walmart?
In Japan, we only see them on TV.
Is that normal in America? 🤔
@justdavenow89 I've had 5, Pfizer, and I still haven't mutated or died. I haven't had any side effects, except a sore arm and knocked me out for a day.
@Kshi_nippon Why didn't they look into what the foods are in Japan, and if they could get food that meets what they can eat? Never assume any country will have foods you can eat, or want to eat.
@Hania16836 Absolutely nothing. Why should you care how she dresses or acts? She's living the life she wants, not the life you think she should be living.
@SocialistMMA You do realize that we've been cooked since before the founding of this country, because even the founding fathers were child torturing pedophiles. There should have been a revolt a long time ago. Yet, here we are!
So let me get this straight, it was revealed that the United States ruling class is full of child torturing pedophiles and the reaction of the American people wasn’t to immediately revolt, but to vote out Thomas Massie who helped expose the scandal
America is cooked 💀
@ClownWorld Work there, then complain the job isn't worth $25/hr. Because what you are saying is, you do not value those workers labor. You, are a part of the problem.
@jessica_lovee95 When the first question I'm asked is, "What do you do for a living?", it's a HUGE turn off. It tells me they are just looking for a paycheck, not to have a quality relationship with me. I don't even get a Hi, how are you today?. No pleasantries.
A lot of single men seem completely checked out of dating now, like they replaced romance with gym memberships, football, and pretending they’re happier alone.
@hina5850 Animals know good people. I worked in a house, as an electrician, and was replacing a receptacle. The owner's dog came up to me and sat in my lap. The owner asked if I had put it there, I said no. It did it itself. The dog didn't like men. Animals know good people.
@JRM58506966@the_austin_hull I used iron sights when I was active duty Marine Corps, 86-94, and I know how to BZO a scope. It's the same as BZOing iron sights. Three rounds at a known distance, then adjust the sight adjustments until you are shooting where you are aiming. Easy peasy.
@the_austin_hull In my 24 years in the Marine Corps, we only used Iron Sites. How do you get battle site 0 on a scope.
Tell me what I posted is a really bad opion?
