I just finished two and a half weeks of stimulating gigging and recording with Guadalajara, Mexico looping artists, Eliud Ernandes and Lizeth Ruvalcaba. I spend a few hours editing recording experimental recording sessions with Liz..........some great stuff to come.

What a beautiful day, out in the hot sun; with a Tribute to the Live Loopers of Mexico with four wonderful sets from Los Hijos de Dona Loope (aka Marcos Garcia Fregoso), George Demarest, Pedeplei (aka Israel Pena) and Lizeth Ruvalcaba.

The artists have arrive from Mexico and Japan and the festival begins tomorrow at the Anno Domini Gallery (366 South 1st St., San Jose) at 7:00 pm. This is the first in person festival since lockdown.

@Hainbach101 A Nagra and a Kalimba............so sweet. It's funny, but, having been a performing found sound, live looping artist for 27 years now, I've noticed that all the metallaphones seem to really love to be looped and manipulated (forwards, reversed, 1/4, 1/2, double,quadruple)

@zoecello The system is criminally rigged to make corporations/executives and shareholders obscene amounts of money. I had to go to the emergency room in Firenze, Italy...11 hours in ER, multiple scans , xrays and 5 doctors: no insurance $60 was my payment.

@KendrickPerkins Blame culture is toxic in professional sports. Teams lose sometimes. Teams get creamed some times. Almost every team in the league has got a super star playing with them. Without Curry, Green and Thompson, the Warriors are just young, superstar-less team. Ease up, Perkins.
