The radio show with Big Boy, he already said he has to believe he is the best, that's what drives him to make the type of music and act the way he does. The desperate tone was successful then in conveying that. Because it makes sense that's where the characters are at right now.

@jermyyyyyyyyyy I think the main reasons are some characters I’m so used to now like Toni or G Amato were gone, it had a far more desperate tone than the others (not in a production sense but it felt lonely), and I don’t think it helped that this was my first live special (barring the funeral)

I think the reason this specials been so divisive for me is that even though it has all the Oscar special staples and it’s funny as shit, I feel like we’re missing a lot of our regulars and recurring bits, same reason Hei Ranch didn’t hit as hard for me either
