If you do get a brand mention, you should follow up with the journalist to try and turn it into a link. All they can do is ignore you or tell you no. Don't over do it though, no one likes a nag!

When it comes to SEO, make sure to test everything and don't listen to someone blindly. I've seen some bad advice over the years being shared that I know works. For example way back in the day we ranked a client using web 2.0 properties alone.

Digital PR isn't releasing an article that talks about your CEO donating x to charity or that you have opened a new office in x location. Digital PR is creating compelling stories that resonate with your target audience. This builds credibility as well as links.

One of our clients gets featured in the National Media every few days, as a result he does interviews, radio interviews and his website is booming. One of the biggest sites in his niche now and in my opinion the majority of it is from digital PR.

One of our clients just got 3 DR80+ backlinks from a story that we pitched over a year ago. The journalist has reused our client's quotes and credited them with it. Amazing

Don't know how to find journalists that talk about your niche? Go on Google and Use search engine modifiers, for example: "Gardening Tips" + Site:Thesun.co.uk This will give you a list of articles talking about gardening tips in the Sun.

If you don't have the resources to launch a digital PR link-building campaign you can do the following: 1) Create something your industry talks about. 2) Find out people who would link to it by searching ahrefs and Google for related topics. 3) Find email addresses 4)Pitch

Guest blogs and niche edits have their place. (in the bin) Jokes. But to compete on any big term, you need big links. Try ranking for insurance, vaping, gambling, or anything else in between where your competitors are getting links from Forbes, Inc etc with guest blogs and you will find out they go no where.

DA or DR are cool metrics but landing links and brand mentions on websites that your customers read can be more beneficial for your business.

If you have run a campaign in the past that's got media mentions and links, don't be frightened to rerun the campaign with new data. Journalists need stories and if something has worked before it probably will work again.

When creating "PR" stories, no one wants to read about how great your company is. Instead, you need to think about your readers and the type of content they would consume. Putting your brand in that conversation is going to help you with your business goals.

TikTok is a gold mine for building links, let me show you how you can earn 30+ links today with it. First, think of your business, what your customers watch and any content that would be interesting to them. Now take that idea and put it into TikTok. "Gardening Hacks", "Sleep hacks", "DIY hacks" you get the point. Now watch as many videos as you can until you come across a hack that is absolutely stupid. You will know when you get there. Stupid not as in its weird, but stupid as in putting your hand in a blender while its on stupid. You will find something that is dangerous, i guarantee it. If you don't then switch the keywords up and go again. When you find the hack, write a comment on why its stupid and what you can do instead. For example if it was a home made cleaning hack that could light your home on fire, then you need to tell people about it, not only is this good for links but you could save someone's life too. Once you have a release, you then need to send it to journalists that talk about that type of content, you can use a media database for this or if you don't have one you can look on Google. Pitch your release to these journalists and you will get links!

I always check the URLS of prospects that we didn't close 3,6 and even 12 months down the line. 99% of the time the site has added 100's or even 1000's of backlinks and hasn't moved in terms of traffic, or rankings at all. It's easy to buy links, hard to earn them.

Increasing your website's organic traffic and generating more sales/leads comes down to: - Researching the keywords your clients search for. - Getting your on page SEO right. - Building authoritative backlinks - Adding supporting content that builds relevance.

PR link building has a massive advantage over regular link building in that you never know when something may hit the news again. We've had countless campaigns pick up 20+ links sometimes years after we have run a campaign for a client.

If your agencies backlinks/websites all have "write for us" pages, you're talking to a spreadsheet spammer. Avoid.
