Week 5 of our programme for the children from Afghan refugee families living in MK: Today we made the most of the sunny weather to take them out on a gentle led-hack around Loughton – we saw lots of smiles as they got ready to set off! @unicef @britishredcross @refugeeaction

The Afghan refugee children returned to Ride High today for their 4th session with the ponies & we saw lots of smiles despite the rainy weather ❤ Spending time with our ponies is something positive to look forward to & learning new skills helps build confidence #refugeesupport

Over the holidays we’re running a series of reunions 4 past members. They’re a great opportunity 4 us 2 check-in with the young people, 2 see how they’re progressing & 4 them 2 reconnect with us & each other. Todays groups had a wonderful time & we loved seeing them all again.

“Ride High will always be in my heart’.   Archie 10, came 2 us 4 help with his confidence &social skills. In this video Archie & his mum tell us how Ride High’s not only increased his confidence but has also supported his emotional development &enabled him to make new friends. ❤️

Over the summer we’re running a number of craft workshops 🎨 4 existing & incoming members-including workshops where our children will work in groups 2 create mosaic tops 4 seating areas in our garden. Here’s 3 designs that we’ll be working 2- each created by a Ride High member.

‘That’s a wrap’. This term our team is v proud 2 have worked with more children & young people than ever before… & they’ve been fabulous & have made outstanding progress. 2day is the last day of term & we’re now looking 2 summer activities & inductions 4 those starting in Sept.

This wk marks the last wk b4 summer break so 4 many of our young people it’s their last session at Ride High. Parents & guardians came 2 watch this group riding today & there was lots of reminiscing with Mark their Club Leader about the journey they’ve taken over the last 6 mnths
