@BuffaloSportsCo That's fair. The upsides are that these are the best lacrosse players in the world with the best exposure to the game. The downside is being a middle tier sports leagues doesn't allow our teams to get top booking at their home rinks.

@RidleyScouting I do agree. But not a big fan of comparing things to the past. Rather improve it for future. But to me it’s still way less about the actual location the game is played and way more about the appearance it shows to average and new fans. Imagine this happening in any other league

Game 2 & Game 3 (if necessary) of the semifinals between the Halifax Thunderbirds & Georgia Swarm will be held in Halifax. May 9th is Game 2. May 10th is Game 3.

@BuffaloSportsCo @LofflerScott @AdamLeviLAX Two things. It's still better than the old mini-game tiebreaker. Honestly Georgia is 7-2 on the road and 8-2 if you include the neutral site game. Might not be as big of a disadvantage.

@LofflerScott @AdamLeviLAX Right. Again this isn’t about assigning blame. I get week notice isn’t easy or sometimes even possible especially to some locations. So regardless if it’s controllable or not. Does not shine a good look on the league for a lower seed to possible host 2 home games. That’s all.

Oh no. You hate to see this. The Georgia Swarm's star rookie Michael Grace goes down with a non-contact injury. You never want to see this happen to any athlete, but Grace has been one of the best rookies in the NLL this season.

I don't know how the CFL can look at the Halifax Thunderbirds and think that football wouldn't work in the Maritimes. Stadium is of course the largest hurdle but find a way folks. Some municipality in the Maritimes would embrace a CFL team and make it as beloved as can be.

@DoctorWho1975 @AdamLeviLAX And I agree. The traffic is no joke. We come in from Nashville and spend a lot of time in bumper to bumper traffic to get on the 285 and then again when you get on the 85.

Then you have traffic which has increased significantly from Spaghetti Junction (285/85) well past Jimmy Carter.. if you ain't paying for the express lane you can expect to be held up a fair bit. I live in Marietta.. up until last year you had the 400 project which fubarred traffic. It was tedious for Gladiator games much less Glads+Swarm games.

The Georgia Swarm averaged the 2nd-lowest attendance during the 2025-26 season at 4,920 fans per game. I imagine the attendance for the Swarm's first-round playoff game against the Buffalo Bandits on Saturday will be SIGNIFICANTLY higher, thanks in large part to the great traveling Bandits fans.

@DoctorWho1975 @AdamLeviLAX Game day pricing is a problem in the NLL. Tough to get casual fans. Last year in Calgary I spent $65 for second deck seat. That's half a season in Gas South upstairs (believe I saw $125 for the second deck end).

But they are not amazing for single games.. and the Swarm plays games. There is a ticket price for 1+ week out... then less than a week out there is a higher price and finally day of game the price is higher. Also the arena (which the team does not get contrary to what the union says) has increased parking to an eye watering 15 bucks this season.

The Swarm have played ten seasons in Georgia. Their lowest average home attendance was 3,950 per game in 2017, the year they won the Championship. They had over 8,000 per game in both 2022 and 2023, the only seasons that they missed the playoffs.
