@Purriku_ @Dark__Wintrop No means no, if they don't respect that, remind them of that crucial rule. If all else fails respectfully tell them to look elsewhere for help and set them to ignore on discord or whatever messaging software you use. Set boundaries and don't let people cross them.

@CourseAHorse @Dark__Wintrop Give them an ultimatum: "Hey man at this point I'd rather teach you how to do this, because me helping you out constantly takes me away from other important things I need to be doing, can I teach you how to do this yourself, it's easy once you do it a few times"

@RifterGenesis @Dark__Wintrop If they dont WANT to learn then they never will. Or they will constantly ask for help with the same thing over and over until I just do it for them because it's "easier"

You have to be likeable and funny, there are so many people on vrc and twitter with cool avatars and face tracking but are assholes and they ask “I got face tracking and big tits why doesn’t anyone like me” Focus on the person behind the screen

@Dark__Wintrop yeah that’s kinda how it works in this community. Honestly sad. Having FBT, Face Tracking, A cool avi, a following, knowing others all gets you immediate access to almost anyone you want to talk too.

@GannordMax @Dark__Wintrop Some people like specific avatars, in some ways it’s a good conversation starter. But if it’s like an obsession with a specific avatar, that’s when it’s concerning, otherwise use it to start conversations, you might just get a friend or two.

@CourseAHorse @Dark__Wintrop If you are bothered by it, put some work into teaching them rather than doing shit for them, I’ve taught so many people how to make avatars, they never bothered me about it again. Give a man a fish, he is fed for a day. Teach a man to fish, he is fed for life.

@Dark__Wintrop I haw a love hate relationship with "being useful". Because it opens doors to folks, but its literally all so shallow. As soon as you arent useful anymore you get tossed aside. I hate being an artist/fursuitmaker/avi maker sometimes.

@DevyTheHoosk @Dark__Wintrop Same here, sure it CAN open up doors to new friends, but its in no way an optimized or primary method, just go into a public world and you can make a new friend in under an hour if you just talk to people and be likeable.

@Dark__Wintrop Face tracking has nothing to do with people liking you, you have to be kind, humerous, energetic, consoling, supportive. What you are essentially saying is VRChat is pay-to-win which is just blatantly wrong, all you need is to treat others how YOU want to be treated. Golden Rule

You have no idea how fucking annoying it is to have someone constantly come into a voice channel only to ask for me to open unity and do something for them. I don't give a fuck that you have money. You wanna hang? No. Talk? No. Ask my about the weather? No. But make me and avatar and texture these things and you gotta only use this stuff and and and and and and and and and. AHHHHHHHHH
