The Problem RIGNODE Solves
Every day, millions of consumer GPUs sit idle gaming rigs, workstations, home servers doing nothing while their owners pay for electricity. At the same time, AI applications and autonomous agents need to run inference (processing a prompt through a language model to get a response), and that inference costs money. RIGNODE is the marketplace that connects these two sides: GPU owners who have spare compute capacity, and clients (developers or AI agents) who need to buy inference cheaply and reliably.
The Two Sides of the Network
Node Operators are people who own a qualifying GPU (8 GB+ VRAM) and want to earn passive income by running AI models. They register on RIGNODE, install a lightweight Docker-based node client, and start receiving inference jobs automatically.
Clients are developers or AI agents who need to run a language model (like Llama 3, Mistral, or Whisper) without paying for expensive centralized cloud APIs. They submit a job to RIGNODE, pay a small USDC fee, and get a response.
RIGNODE acts as the coordinator between these two sides routing jobs, verifying payments, tracking performance, and distributing earnings. #Rignode
