Tulip 'Belicia' on a dull morning. A multiflora peony type it produces three or four flowers per stem. Pale yellow eventually fading to white with dark red edging. Very eye catching ⚘️

@RijckRoos You really are so talented/gifted with these cartoons and drawings. This dog really does look/act like Lyla too. I love the squirrels and their reactions (very realistic, unfortunately for Lyla), love White Nose's yawn too. They will come right to door opening, even if barking

@RijckRoos Very strong winds here but in 60s at times, still I overdressed for walk but needed ear muffs. Lyla loves to walk as long as it is not raining/snowing or too cold. Glad the rain is still helping & you could even take a walk too. Sleep well, my ears do pain me tonight.

De avond valt en brengt een moment van overgave aan wat komt. Morgen heb ik een operatie bij de tandarts die mijn aandacht en rust zal opeisen. Ik kies de komende tijd voor de luwte van het herstel; we spreken elkaar weer als de dagen weer wat lichter aanvoelen. Slaap zacht

@RijckRoos They tried to come back one week later and cut more and I stood between them and bush and told them no more, they did not speak English but got the meaning from my expression I am sure.

@TomVeganMan Oh, how sad. It is indeed funny that the cowbirds follow them. Are there fewer hawks now? Where do they actually nest?

@RijckRoos No but quite a few years ago, I had dozens of doves that ate there and I had to stop because hawks were killing them off regularly. It's funny the cowbirds would join them too.

Taken from my upstairs spare room, you can see 3 Cowbirds, Dove and some sparrows in small space

@RijckRoos Yes, it's funny if she takes the time to sit there, it usually means she is taking the pecan home, sometimes she will immediately jump to bush which usually means she is not leaving

@RijckRoos I think I told you once, at one time this was a gorgeous bush and lawn care company completely ruined it, as one of them got a new saw for their birthday. They cut so many branches off it, it barely survived.

This is the face of Bramble - a very annoyed ewe who was just caught, carried to the barn & penned in for the sin of scouring. It is fly season now so she needs to be treated to prevent blowfly strike. I have left her dagged, covered in tea-tree smelling barrier repel & with hay.

@RijckRoos In front, I don't really like to feed them but there a small patch that I do because the Doves will not give up on it.
