Just last week, Riley Howell died tackling the UNC Charlotte shooter. His parents joined me tonight. Their son didn't live that long of a life, but he made a difference this world. Nothing else will ever come close to that gift he gave to the rest of the students in his school.

We can do more than sit and watch: 2 weeks, 2 school shootings, 2 student heroes killed. The reality of their bravery is more impressive because it exists within the broader reality where these people and these horrible acts are counted instead of countered.
