Daniel Haqiqatjou describes the alleged ‘mass killing’ the Wahhābīs carried out in al-Ṭāʾif in 1803, slaughtering people praying in mosques, studying the Qurʾān, and even babies being breastfed by their mothers. He even plays sounds effects of babies crying to emotionally manipulate the listener. ❌ There’s just one problem: This is all fake news. None of this ever happened. Aḥmad Zaynī Daḥlān was a well known a liar and wasn’t even alive when ʿUthmān al-Muḍāyifī took al-Ṭāʾif.

Again, Haqiqatjou has no idea what he’s talking about. Imām Saʾūd never intended to starve the people of Makkah, however the Ottoman caravans were smuggling in troops and weapons for the Sharīf of Makkah, Ghālib b. Musāʿid, to fight the First Saudi State. Sharīf Ghālib used these reinforcements to launch attacks on al-Layth and commit grave crimes against its people (a clear violation of the agreement for reconciliation). Imām Saʾūd had no choice but to stop the caravans coming in until Sharīf Ghālib surrendered. Contrary to wanting to starve them: Both times when Imām Saʾūd assumed rule in Makkah—first in 1803 then in 1805—he greatly honoured the people of Makkah, lavished them with gifts, ensured them safety and security, abolished injustice and oppressive taxes, abolished the alcohol houses, shisha lounges and brothels. Had Imām Saʾūd considered all the people of Makkah to be polytheists as Haqiqatjou baselessly claims, would he do all of this? • Sh Muḥammad b. Hādī al-ʿAjīlī testifies: ❝Imām Saʿūd granted security to the people of al-Ḥaram al-Sharīf and spread among them justice, beneficence, and rectitude, showing them respect and honor, and bestowing bounty and generosity. They gathered around the writings of Shaykh al-Islām Muḥammad Ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb—Kitāb al-Tawḥīd: the right of Allāh upon His servants, and Kashf al-Shubuhāt, and others—and there appeared among them love of the religion and acknowledgment that it is the truth, sincerity, and correctness.❞ • ʿUthmān b. Bishr states: ❝Saʿūd Ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz granted security to the people of Makkah and distributed abundant charity and gifts therein. When Saʿūd and the people of the daʿwah completed ṭawāf and saʿy, the people of the regions dispersed to demolish the domes built over graves and polytheistic shrines. In Makkah there were many of this type in its lower parts, upper parts, center, and houses. He remained there twenty days, and the people of the daʿwah stayed among those domes for more than ten days demolishing them, rising early each day to tear them down, seeking nearness to al-Wāḥid al-Aḥad, until nothing of those shrines and domes remained in Makkah; they destroyed them and turned them into dust.❞

Here is a historical detail we didnt go into depth in the documentary. Did you know the Wahhabis tried to starve to death the residents of Makka? In 1805 Wahhabis launched their first siege of Makka. According to them, the Muslims of Makka were kafir mushriks worse than the mushriks who fought the Prophet ﷺ. To force the Makkans into surrender, the Wahhabis initiated a mass starvation campaign that claimed many lives. This is recorded by the Wahhabis themselves in their histories. Consider the following passage from Ibn Bishr.

By contrast, when King ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz Āl Saʾūd liberated the Ḥijāz in 1924, pilgrims were no longer prone to being robbed or killed, with crime almost being eliminated completely! King ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz’s reign over Makkah and Madīnah saw a safe and secure environment for travellers and pilgrims, unlike the period of Ottoman rule.

Shocking Shīʾah Fatwā: We must dig up the graves of Abū Bakr and ʿUmar and remove their bodies! Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani is one the most senior Shīʾah Ayatollahs living in Irān, often referred to as the leader of the Qom Ḥawzah. May Allāh rid us of these devils.

Cursing the Ṣaḥābah is a common practice in Irān Here is a 13-minute compilation of prominent Rāfiḍī clearings in Irān insulting, cursing and making takfīr of the Ṣaḥābah, as well as public congregations in Irān partaking in such cursing. Daniel Haqiqatjou wants to hide these examples from you in order to run cover for Khameini’s taqīyyah.

You’re just annoyed that Ustādh ʿAbd al-Raḥman Ḥasan is now countering your pro-Rāfiḍī propaganda when it’s needed. Was Muḥammad ʿAlī Pāshā an Ottoman proxy? A quick history lesson: Many people have this false idea that Muḥammad ʿAlī Pāshā’s Egypt was some distinct state separate from the Ottoman Empire. This couldn’t be further from the truth: Muḥammad ʿAlī Pāshā was an Ottoman client, designated to rule Egypt on behalf of the Ottomans in 1220 AH / 1805 CE after kicking out the British from the port of Alexandria and overpowering the Egyptian Mamlūks. The Ottoman Sulṭāns ordered Muḥammad ʿAlī Pāshā, over and over again, to fight and bring an end to the First Saudi State: 1) First from Sulṭān Muṣṭafā IV in 1222 AH / 1807 CE 2) Then from Sulṭān Maḥmūd II in 1223 AH / 1808 CE 3) Then from Sulṭān Maḥmūd II in late Muḥarram 1224 AH / March 1809 CE In this 3rd letter, Sulṭān Maḥmūd II proposed a joint effort to end the First Saudi State from Yūsuf Pāshā by way of al-Shām, Sulaymān Pāshā by way of ʿIrāq, and Muḥammad ʿAlī Pāshā by way of Egypt. This was confirmed by Burckhardt when he said: “All the peoples of the Turkish Empire united to exhaust the Wahhābīs and called for the execution of a campaign resembling the old Crusader expeditions against them.” Nevertheless, Muḥammad ʿAlī Pāshā remained reluctant to carry out this operation and made excuses each time, citing his preoccupation with the Egyptian Mamlūks. 4) Then in mid-1225 AH / the second half of 1810 CE, Sulṭān Maḥmūd II sent yet another letter ordering Muḥammad ʿAlī Pāshā to destroy the First Saudi State. Muḥammad ʿAlī Pāshā eventually gave in to this demand, knowing that his disobedience would result in the Sulṭān removing him from office. Conclusion: Whilst Muḥammad ʿAlī Pāshā had a falling out with his former Ottoman masters a few decades later and rebelled against them, there is no doubt that he was acting on behalf of the Ottoman State both before and during his campaign against the First Saudi State. In fact Sulṭān Maḥmūd II sent constant reinforcements and commendments to Ibrāhīm Pāshā during his operations, evidence for this will be shown in the future inshāʾallāh.

Saʾūd b. ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz (1748-1814) was a legend. Nicknamed ‘Saʾūd the great’ (‘Saʾūd al-Kabīr’), his command of the armed forces followed by his subsequent ascension to rule oversaw the prime of the First Saudi State. He conquered huge amounts of territory, which included the blessed liberation of Makkah and Madīnah. He led swift defeats against the Ottoman Empire, carried out the raid on Karbalāʾ, and supported the Qawāsim during their jihād against British ships in the Persian Gulf. He died in 1814 from natural causes, constituting one of the greatest losses that the First Saudi State suffered. May Allāh have mercy on him.

Not only did King ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz Āl Saʾūd never ally with British to fight the Ottomans, the Ottomans actually praised him and his rule The Ottoman general and governor of Syria, Aḥmad Jamāl Pāshā, expressed concerns about Sharīf Ḥusayn whilst commending King ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz for his cooperation with the Ottomans. • Aḥmad Jamāl Pāshā stated in his memoirs: ❝The Islāmic world will come to know, when it examines the replies I received from al-Sharīf Ḥusayn and the correspondence that took place between us, how this man was playing two contradictory roles at the same time. It was not within the ability of Amīr Ibn al-Saʿūd to extend to us direct assistance because of his proximity to the English, who were capable of causing him harm. However, he was personally very useful to us, as he sent camels to the army and permitted the export of trade from his lands to Syria. Amīr Ibn al-Rashīd gave sincere proof that he was a true Muslim and deeply loyal to the Khilāfah.❞ 📚 (The memoirs of Jamāl Pāshā p. 282) Disclaimer: Whilst King ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz refused to fight the Ottomans and allowed some cooperation with them, his personal view of them was anything but positive.

People might not know this: There is not a single instance of the Saudi King ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz allying with the British to fight the Ottomans. None. Zero. Nada. King ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz’s concerns were with unifying the Arabian Peninsula and resisting two warring factions: - On one side, the British-backed Sharīf Ḥusayn Ibn ʿAlī al-Hāshimī, who ruled the Ḥijāz. - On the other side, the Ottoman-backed ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz Ibn Mutaʿib Āl al-Rashīd, who ruled Jabal Shammar. Now King ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz hated the Ottomans and didn’t trust them (and for good reason), yet the claim that he allied with the British to fight them holds no weight when examining history.

People like this are delusional about the nature of traditional Wahhabism. Look at the 300 year history of this movement. They have literally never fought against non-Muslims. Rather their primary enemy was the Ottoman Caliiphate, which they allied with the British to destroy (e.g., Treaty of Darin). Long before there was ever a Madkhali... Wahhabis had decided that they were allied with the Saudi state against all the world's Muslims. Long before there was ever a Madkhali... the most "hardcore" Wahhabi scholars (e.g., Ibn Sahman, Abdullah ibn Abd al-Latif) had decided that they preferred to ally with non-Muslims (e.g., Britain, US, Israel) over other Muslims - for they regarded these other Muslims as kafir murtads worse than the Qurayshi mushrikin. O Wahhabis - Don't try to rewrite your history. Your history is betraying the Ummah while hiding behind the words "Tawhid" and "Sunna," just like the dog Ruhayli.

Did you know that the Ottomans abandoned fighting the French occupation in Egypt, instead prioritising attacking the Wahhābīs? It is necessary to draw attention to a historical watershed that invites mockery at the condition to which the Ottoman state had then fallen. In the year 1213 AH / 1798 CE, France launched its campaign against Egypt, which belonged to the Ottoman state and was among the lands of the Ottoman Sulṭān; yet the Ottoman Sulṭān did not mobilize his armies at that time to liberate Egypt from the French who occupied it. The people who ended up removing the French from Egypt were the British, not the Ottomans. Instead, the Ottoman Sulṭān issued his order to the governor of Baghdād to prepare a large campaign against the Saudis, one of a high level of preparation commensurate with the hopes of the Ottoman government to destroy Saudi power utterly, its aim being nothing less than the subjugation of all Najd. What kind of ‘Islāmic caliphate’ abandons resisting an invading kāfir army to attack Muslims instead? In the year 1213 AH / 1799 CE, the governor of Baghdād, Sulaymān Pāshā and his deputy ʿAlī Pāshā mobilized armies from ʿIrāq and assembled for the campaign vast forces to attack the Wahhābīs, which the government of Istanbul supported with equipment and troops. The Ottomans reached Saudi-controlled al-Aḥsāʾ and proceeded to attack the fortress of al-Mubarraz, known as Qaṣr Ṣāhūd, and besieged it for 2 months from the 7th of Ramaḍān until 7 days had passed of Dhū al-Qaʿdah 1213 AH—that is, from February to April 1799 CE—employing every means against this fortress: fighting, driving his Turkish and Bedouin troops against it, continuous heavy artillery fire against its walls, digging trenches around it and filling them with gunpowder. However, they were not able to penetrate the fortress and were forced to withdraw to their encampment by Thāj. Imām Saʾūd Ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz (رَحْمَهُ الله)—the fearless mujāhid who never lost a battle—gathered his troops and intercepted the Ottomans by the water of Thāj where he sent them packing in a humiliating defeat! The Ottoman deputy ʿAlī Pāshā feared Imām Saʾūd so much that he was forced to cut his losses and sign a peace deal with the Wahhābīs, during which he wrote about Imām Saʾūd to the Ottoman Sulṭān: “He is like a falcon—swift in seizing, long of reach, and mighty in strength.”

🧵 The Wahhābī assault on Karbalāʾ: A complete history I think Daniel Haqiqatjou might be suffering from a severe case of Stockholm Syndrome, he keeps getting rinsed with the facts but insists on coming back for another round with the sandal 🩴. In any case, this thread is a comprehensive history of the Wahhābī assault on Karbalāʾ in 1802. [1] The Ottoman violation of the treaty between them and the First Saudi State [2] The Shīʾī attack on a group of civilian Wahhābī caravans [3] The Ottomans’ refusal to punish the perpetrators [4] The Saudi advance towards Karbalāʾ [5] The Wahhābīs did not attack civilians [6] Karbalāʾ had become a refuge for worst elements in society [7] The Wahhābī assault only lasted for a few hours

Adding the books of Shaykh Sulṭān al-ʿUmayrī to my library was one of the best decisions I made during my 2-year break from social media. The best books from them that I read are: • The Golden Contracts on the Objectives of al-ʿAqīdah al-Wāsiṭiyyah (Al-ʿUqūd al-Dhahabiyyah ʿalā Maqāṣid al-ʿAqīdah al-Wāsiṭiyyah). • The Rightly-Guided Path: A Commentary on Kitāb al-Tawḥīd (Al-Maslak al-Rashīd Sharḥ Kitāb al-Tawḥīd). • Verifying the Benefit by Clarifying the Concept of al-ʿIbādah (Taḥqīq al-Ifādah bi-Taḥrīr Mafhūm al-ʿIbādah).
