@PeterJRepper @afneil I don't think you really understand the term 'ballistic', or basic physics. There's literally no way an RAF plane can 'deal' with a ballistic missile. You seriously have the brains of a cheese sandwich.

I am very wary of reports that the UK is now within range of Iranian ballistic missiles. But if the reports are true, let’s be in no doubt: the UK has no defences against such missiles. No dedicated national ballistic missile defence (BMD) system for intercepting intermediate- or intercontinental-range threats aimed at the homeland. No ground-based interceptors (like US THAAD or Patriot systems in Europe) deployed in Britain for this purpose. In theory our T-45 warships could provide some cover. But most are currently undeployable or not in UK waters. Leaving us defenceless from ballistic missile attack. Another massive military failure of the political class of all recent governments.

What’s the best sci-fi movie of the year so far?

@fandompulse I really don't want an animated show if the animation is ass. I'd rather they go for something semi realistic/CGI like in Love, Death & Robots, or stylish hyper realism like Arcane. If it's like the HE-MAN animation I'm out.

@Govindtwtt Some form of universal basic income generated by the taxation of businesses that use AI. As much as it sounds like communism it's the most logical first step towards becoming a post scarcity civilisation.

Everyone says “AI will take all the jobs.” If that happens… how does this future actually work? No jobs → no income → no spending. So who buys things? Who pays rent? Who keeps the economy moving? What am I missing here?
