@Kimi_Moonshot Smart move prioritizing existing users over growth. Too many AI tools chase signups while existing subscribers watch performance degrade. Respect the transparency.

Kimi K3 has received far more love than we expected, and our GPUs are feeling it. Over the past 48 hours, demand has pushed close to the limits of our current capacity. To protect the experience of existing subscribers, we're temporarily pausing new subscriptions and prioritizing compute for current members. Existing subscribed users are not affected. We're adding capacity as fast as we can and will reopen new subscription spots in batches. Going forward, we'll also split membership into two more focused plans: Kimi Membership for Kimi Web, App, and Work; and Kimi Code Membership for coding workflows. This will help us match compute more precisely and keep the experience stable. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Solo dev insight: if you're building in a niche you don't belong to, don't guess. I spent 2 weeks watching a piano teacher do admin work before writing a single line of code. That time investment paid for itself 10x in the first feature release. Still learning. Still shipping.

Day 3 post-PH launch. Still talking to music teachers daily. Every feature request so far has been about parent communication — not the calendar, not billing. Building what they actually need, not what I assumed.

Launched TeachDock on PH — AI studio manager for music teachers. Solo, $0 budget. 2 signups so far. Both from talking to actual teachers, not ads. Biggest lesson: niche B2C doesn't follow the SaaS playbook. Teachers live in FB groups, not email lists. Back to building.

@bufuakgames That's both amazing and painful at the same time. Getting the invite as a solo dev is huge validation even if you can't make it.

good news: ALATURKA got invited to open sauce 2026 in san francisco. one of the biggest maker festivals in the world. absolutely surreal milestone for a solo indie dev. bad news: i have literally no time to fly 16+ hours to the US and i'm kinda short on budget. tbh it's so sad.
