Monday morning... Head up... Whatever you may be facing this week, know you have got it. Everything you have been through has prepared you for this moment. Remember, everyone has something they are going through. Be kind. #ShineOn #BurnBrighter #RiseLikeAPhoenix

SPHA have called for an end to "one-word judgements". Couldn't agree more. How can you judge a whole school based on just a few days in the academic year, using just one word? Where is the holistic approach? Where is the support? #RuthPerry #Ofsted bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan…

@mathsjem Exactly the same in primary, although we have to fit 13 subjects into 11 hours worth of lessons a week 🤡

I'm so sick of our national curriculum. There's not enough time to teach things properly. Everything is rushed. Why are there so many topics? Who thought this was a good idea? Where's the depth in a curriculum where you have to teach at a million miles an hour? Argh. 😡

Things you miss about UKS2 teaching Multiplying fractions by integers can be a tricky concept to understand but this really helped children understand the structure to these types of questions. I am firm believer that resources are for all children 🧮

Never forget: READING FOR PLEASURE has a bigger impact on children's life chances than test scores, or any other factors. So if you're worried about kids falling behind – as long as they're reading something they enjoy, they're doing the best thing they could be doing! #literacy

First day of having the children back. Half a day of it was PPA for me. Came home in the evening and fell straight asleep on the sofa from 6:30-9pm. Oh lord. #backtoschool

Teacher pay rise of 5%, YAY! Inflation at 11%, ohh. That 5% must come out of your own school budget, which is stretched enough as it is with decreasing numbers of children. Wtf? This is not a pay rise, it's a pay cut. #teacherspayrise

With the clocks going back we enter a sombre and difficult time for some. Now, as always, it’s important to check in with yourself, with your friends, social media contacts, anyone. Everyone needs someone! #edutwitter #mentalhealth #Wellbeing #connect #howareyou #friends
