So I have come to terms of Mando “ending” over the past week but I don’t want it to end due to something out of the creators control like box office I want it to end on Jon and Dave’s terms and their picture of the ending which is atm the crossover with Ahsoka which I hope we get more information on at d23 and after that crossover I do think I’d be satisfied. I do think the crossover would require atleast one minimum Mando season of set up which I hope we get.

I’m fully prepared for the trades to trash Mando and Grogu this weekend 🥲 already anticipating the headlines cus they hate this movie and have since it was announced. Anyways the budget is so low for the film, it’s impossible for it to not break even👍🏻

I caught the 10:30 PM screening of the Mandalorian and Grogu. I was one of 12 people. Overall it is the quintessential popcorn film - nothing that really challenges you and is very much a contained story. Writing & dialogue is standard Filoni/Favreau fair. Oddly enough, I thought the most convincing character was Zeb. The SFX and sound of M&G was excellent especially on Nal Hutta. Thankfully, humor and tense scene broke up a lot of “Mando and Grogu walking around “ shots. The best easter egg I thought was ship/model maker related (and not the INT-4). Normally, I would see a SW movie in the theater 3-4 times on my own during its run, but I feel with this, I’ll see it at one more time with my family and then wait for Disney+. The younger kids who have been indoctrinated by their Star Wars loving parents will probably love it because of Grogu. One final note please stop with the director cameos. We get it….we get it. It's moronic that Galen Erso purposefully designed the exhaust port with the hope someone might fire a photon torpedo down it. Star Wars was much more interesting when the rebels seized upon a natural design flaw.
