LA will always be a town known for its bright lights and magic. Lakers fans always stand for our city. That’s why I’m happy to announce the Los Angeles Mission is partnering with @MagicJohnson to feed LAs homeless in Skid Row this Thanksgiving.

I too am tired of the “under 40" lists. Show me an individual who changed their community at 60 after being homeless. Let’s hear from the 70 year old that lost it all and came back five times stronger.

Access to clean clothes is a daily struggle for many people experiencing homelessness. Our mobile clothing closet is a FREE service for those in need. In addition to clothes & shoes we provide hygiene kits & cold drinking water. Link in our bio for our full service schedule.

that every dollar goes to help them. Existing systems contribute to the #HomelessIndustrialComplex & keep people perpetually on the streets in a cyclical pattern. Our #FunctionalZero plan for #LA is in our bio. Together, we CAN alleviate the #homelessness crisis in #LosAngeles.

The narrative that unhoused people want to be on the streets is tired, exhausted, & not evidence based. The reality is that we’ve failed to provide real help & the unhoused naturally don’t trust the offer. We have to build credibility to show those who need it most… (1/2)

Local leaders in #LA play this $ game with people’s lives yr after yr. It’s why problems get worse even though measures are passed to “solve” the crises LA faces. #LosAngeles CAN be a city that leads by example, cares for its constituents & holds our local electeds accountable.

“We rise by uplifting others.” Claudia Iglesias, a parent with @UPAS_org says it perfectly. City leaders are not improving our lives & those trying to get back on their feet, despite throwing hoards of $$ at problems. LA CAN be a city that provides meaningful support to Angelenos
