Last week, we successfully completed a Training of Trainers (ToT) for 6,701 Community Mentors across all 7 districts of the @LIFT_Rwanda programme. The training focused on the Alternative Learning Pathway (ALP), equipping mentors to administer literacy and numeracy diagnostics to out-of-school youth aged 15–18, and to provide targeted support in the Functional Literacy & Numeracy (FLN) skills identified as missing.
Both diagnostics and FLN sessions will be delivered in safe spaces, preparing these youth for TVET placements and future excellence, while ensuring they continue to strengthen functional #Literacy and #Numeracy skills alongside their vocational training in TVET schools and centres.
