@isabelhilton I was thinking today about the Philip Roth novel - the Plot Against America which imagines what might have happened if America had ‘gone the other way’ in WW2. The parallels are not exact but it’s hard not to mull it over given current events.

It is still a surprise to see the US abandon leadership of the free world and fall in line with Russia’s ambitions. But when my father was fighting Nazism in WW2, along with millions of others, there were fascist rallies in Madison Square Gardens.
