I spent a few hours with Elon at his home recently. Several of his kids were there. They were thrilled to see him and rushed to him when he arrived. There was kids’ stuff everywhere - toys, tiny chairs, a tiny table. It was clearly the kids’ world. Elon was just in it. One of his daughters was drawing. When asked what she was grateful for this Thanksgiving, one of the things she exclaimed was “Daddy.” We’ve gotten to a place in politics where seemingly nothing is off limits. Politicians will use anything to score points - including the relationship between a parent and his child. There are certain things that should never be used for political gain. This is one of them. This comment by Gavin Newsom’s press office crossed a line. It would benefit everyone to see him correct it.
