Kyle Fletcher elaborates on his comment about the day of AEW All In: Texas being one of the worst of his life: “Look, that comment that I made the other day, I was very upset with myself for the way I worded it. I would like to apologize for the way I spoke and the words that I used. I think the words I used were a bit insensitive, saying it was one of the worst days of my life. My thought process when I was answering that, and answering any questions about that day, I never want to talk about somebody else’s story. That whole day, that whole situation, a lot of it is Adam [Cole]’s story to tell. So when I was answering that question, they asked me about my emotions on that day, so I did my best to kind of not address what happened with Adam to the best of my ability and just focus on how I felt. And truthfully, that was one of the worst days of my life. There’s this weird thing nowadays where kayfabe kind of exists, but it kind of doesn’t. And all the stuff that happened with him, I had people in my ear saying, ‘Oh, you should be saying in promos that you injured Adam Cole and using it for heat or whatever.’ And I never felt good about that. So I’ve tried my best to stay away from talking about it. One of the reasons it was one of the worst days of my life is because I had to watch someone that I admire very much and look up to stand in the ring and cry and basically say that he may never wrestle again. And then I had to go out into the ring and perform, basically knowing that it was possibly my fault, and that everybody in the arena knew it was my fault. I’m sure you can imagine the headspace… It was a rush of emotions. The whole situation was horrible. And again, I really don’t like talking about it. I don’t feel like I have the right to complain about any of it because what Adam is going through and has gone through, my feelings pale in comparison to it. So I do my best not to talk about it because it’s not my story. But I was asked about my feelings that day the other day when I answered the question, so that’s what I tried to talk about. Funny how everyone reports Rousey's "F you to TKO" and Fletcher's "AEW is the best place to work" but it all goes awfully quiet when a negative AEW-related happening occurs.

I've been doing everything I can with limited social media presence but when you see people with large followings not doing anything of value just to protect their own livelihoods/careers/interests, it's sad to see.
