@awkward_spud @FP1Daniel You sure sounded like that... but I will stop here, it wasn't my goal to upset anyone, we are all here speaking up our minds and it's normal for people to disagree most of the times. Have a great day/night😃
English

@RoMotoFan @FP1Daniel No but like u do know that by me saying random weekend, im not actually meaning random weekend right????
English

@awkward_spud @FP1Daniel Because there is no such thing as "random weekends" when it comes to wildcards, those are decided months in advance and wildcard riders are doing 100s of kms there before the race, so it's not even a fair comparison, and yet they are still almost last...
English

@RoMotoFan @FP1Daniel I don’t understand why ur trying to dig so deep into this lmao why would u think me saying random weekends is actually deadass
English

@awkward_spud @FP1Daniel 25 years ago it would have been a stupid decision, as wildcards were fighting for top 5 and adding to the quality of the race, but now they are only test riders gathering data and not racing at 100%, it's better if they remain fit and stay as replacement riders.
English

@awkward_spud @FP1Daniel I get your point. The way I see the whole wildcard debacle is this: at the end of the day, were they contributing to the show, were they even shown on TV? Giving up on them for the time being means nothing in the overall picture, they weren't there to really race, as in the past
English

@awkward_spud @FP1Daniel Wildcards at the test tracks aren't "random weekends" and KTM was the second best bike on the grid that year as well.
English

@awkward_spud @FP1Daniel Your initial statement was that retired riders (and here you are implying all of them, not some, not one) can beat half or more of the grid on a random weekend. Pol raced in 2024 at KTM's 2 designed test tracks and he was in the middle of the pack, the others weren't.
English

@awkward_spud @FP1Daniel Pol Espargaro raced most as a replacement rider (and he is free to do so anytime + KTM didn't wildcard in 2 years). Aleix hasn't finished a race higher than 16th as a wildcard. Augusto Fernandez is beating 1 or 2 riders at best in a race. Your assesment is empirically not true.
English

@FP1Daniel any time one of the Espargaro brothers raced. Augusto Fernandez as well
English

@B3ZQU3Z So the only wildcard who had an amazing performance in 24 years of MotoGP was a MotoGP Legend at the end of his career, and the only Legend who ever raced as a wildcard after retiring. That is 1 out of like 100. What is your point? Beside being angry at someone.
English

@IBombarolo To anyone reading this, he didn't try to stop the race on Saturday, he was telling the teams he's coming to change bikes, but I get the joke😂
English

@NorthsideBiy @SwannMarcus89 No, no, he actually really meant to say 400 days, his argument was that he was flying from USA to Japan and basically wrestle once in USA Wednesday and once in Japan Wednesday when in USA it was Tuesday😆he was counting a calendar day as 2 different days
English

@SwannMarcus89 He easily did 400 matches a year at the height of his run. The confusion is dates as in wrestling gigs ( two a day in the mid 80s ) as next to normal dates
English

@Adam_barpl @FranckyHawk29 So if you finish 3rd on a session where the bike basically doesn't matter, you're not talented because you're 1 second behind Marc Marquez, ok champ, see you on track.
English

@RoMotoFan @FranckyHawk29 Wow, he’s 1 second behind Marc on the same bike and needed new tyre for that. Congratulations.
English

@FranckyHawk29 Diggia on KTM will do the same as he did on GP23- literally nothing…
When talent matters- like now- he’s 18th…
English

@Sentinel111085 @denkmit I’m not thinking about Spain, more like the BTC, NTC or the American series. While ATC gave us Ogura, Furusato or other talens, these series have not.
English

@RoMotoFan @denkmit Because Spain is too mainstream, Veda is talented and you'll see bunch of talent incoming after him.
English

On closer inspection, I'm almost certain that this isn't asphalt, it's concrete. Would love to know who signed off on that particular decision, because... 🤦♂️
Simon Patterson@denkmit
This looks totally safe and awesome and secure 📸 @GarethHarford
English

I still refuse to believe that it's entirely coincidental that the best-qualified person in this world for this supposedly fully independent role just happens to be related to the boss of the series.
Mat Oxley@matoxley
Just a thought - and I could be wrong of course - but maybe this is the sort of thing that happens when the man in charge of #MotoGP circuit safety is the nephew of the CEO of MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group?
