@UpdateNews724 It should be a fair system. Come in, integrate, become a contributing member of the society you enter...if these conditions are not fulfilled please leave and try somewhere else where it might work better. Europe should not be taken advantage of anymore...

You have sent me over 5,000 comments in response to the tweets I wrote just in the past two days. I try to read them all, or as many as I can. As should be expected, many are positive, many are negative. This may surprise you but I genuinely appreciate receiving all of it, the good but also the bad. Why?
Because you own our company. It is important that I understand what you think --both the favorable and the unfavorable.
At the same time, it is absolutely vital that after distilling all of your feedback, I actually do and action what I think is in the best interests of all of our shareholders.
Helpfully, I am not new at this, and can draw on a vast reservoir of experience. After all, this is my eighth year leading AMC, and AMC is the 5th company I have quite successfully run since 1993. I have learned over those past thirty years that it is far easier to be an armchair quarterback from the sidelines, than it is to actually have the responsibility of leading something as complex as AMC. That is especially the case in a period of time and under external circumstances that are as vexing and difficult as anyone has seen in ages, probably dating at least all the way back to the 1940's when the entire world was consumed by war.
While I am as frustrated as any of you are by the challenges that AMC still faces 42 long months after Covid forced the closure of all of our theatres, that frustration is greatly outweighed by my pride that AMC is still alive and fighting... that AMC is still leading and innovating... and that AMC is eminently stronger with our now greatly increased cash reserves.
How many times have the naysayers and prophets of doom predicted with certainty that AMC would fail? So far, we have proven them wrong. Over and over again. Wrong, wrong, wrong. In my view, AMC has an exciting future ahead, as our industry continues on its long glide path to eventual recovery and as AMC continues to take bold action to be out front.
Thank you for sharing this journey with us. And keep the comments coming. They will continue to be read, and they will continue to help shape the future course of action we pursue.
In the language and customs of the 18th century, a message like this one would be signed "Your humble and obedient servant." You all have many different voices and many different opinions, so sorting through the conflicting advice you pass on for AMC is not as simple as one might hope. Even so, I feel as if I am your humble and obedient servant. But since the 18th century was a couple hundred years ago, better that this message to you today be signed off with a much more modern...
Sincerely yours,
Adam

Yesterday we announced q2 2023 earnings. AMC's strongest quarter in 4 full years. Records setting. Adjusted EBITDA of $182.5 million, up 71% over q2 2022. And July 2023 was the biggest revenue month in AMC's entire 103 year history. Thank you Barbenheimer! #AMCYippieKiYay

I receive a lot of love, and take a lot of inbound heat, on Twitter. Today, totally unsolicited, I received by email this note signed "from 1,870 kind-hearted" AMC shareholders and it included all 1,870 of their Twitter handles. For privacy reasons, I won't disclose them here. But to those who sent me this note, thank you so much for this thoughtful message.
And to the 3.8 million of you, I realize there is great support for my leadership of AMC amongst our shareholders. It is a privilege to be the captain of your ship. I am sincerely so VERY grateful to you all.

It sure feels fabulous to see that our theatres are packed. "Barbenheimer" caused the busiest weekend at AMC in 4 years, both in the U.S. and in Europe.
In the U.S., Saturday single day numbers were the 5th highest ticket revenues and 2nd highest food & beverage revenues in AMC's entire 103-year history.
These are such hopeful signs for our eventual recovery in the years ahead.
BUT, we should not let ourselves be confused by the euphoria arising from this weekend's huge box office numbers. Moviegoing in 2023 still will be well below 2019 pre-Covid levels. The writers and actors strikes create uncertainty ahead. And cash is very tight.
We still will have to manage our company with all of our smarts and all of our skill to get to the promised land.
