Bottom line is that current DTV is being abused. There were reasons why the govt cracked down on visa mills and border runs.

@Mighty7693524 Let's say 3000km a month you would hit 160k in 4-5 years and be out of warranty. Toyota/Honda repair bill would be a lot cheaper.

@Roach_BKK I will do pattaya-bangkok every week and a lot of local driving in bangkok. 900k thb is ridiculous. I may just get a hybrid honda or toyota.

@Roach_BKK @TonsTweetings I've literally went through DTV application in Vietnam HCM. There is absolutely zero way to bribe anybody. I wasn't even allowed to enter the Thai embassy in HCM. The guard said exactly this to me" visa application online only. And I can not answer anymore questions"

@ChrisWest630 @TonsTweetings DTV was never intended for people already in Thailand or to stay 365 days on it. They go to Vietnam or Laos for the application is easier because of the C word.

Some countries became old because they got so rich that people prioritised careers, delayed marriage, bought houses, travelled the world and had fewer children. Thailand achieved the same birth rate after making housing expensive and salaries disappointing. Maximum efficiency.
