@Jenlefforge 😳 I splurged on the Contemporary when I did Dopey once and I recall thinking the price was very close to a 2 week Australia/New Zealand cruise I had taken. It’s possible the cruise was cheaper.

@Jenlefforge No idea! I do know I wouldn’t bat an eye if a local band started playing it in a bar, though. 😆 I was a teen in the 90s when it was constantly playing and I just checked and it was released decades before that so yes, we in Hawaii must just be obsessed.

@Jenlefforge 😭 to your tweet’s main point. FYI, Hawaii loves the House at Pooh Corner song. They play it on the radio all the time. At least when I lived there. I thought it was a local artist it got so much air time.

@OfDragonflies I have a bunch of my late grandmother’s straight aluminum needles and plan to put them in a nice vase one day.

My aunt just sent me my late grandmother’s knitting needles, as I’m the only one on the family who knits. I’m overwhelmed and can’t stop touching them, knowing how many things she lovingly made. Like I can feel the warmth of her still in them. Yet I’m unlikely to use them- ideas?

@krissymmurphy That’s impressive! My son has probably got the same amount but his are on average a lot smaller. I feel that he has to lie very straight down the middle of his bed between all of them.

Representative had me enter age so he appeared 18 then call in & had them change it to correct age. But I think you have to call to get the okay that will fly which defeats purpose of avoiding call.

@micaswyers 🙄 My favorite is when someone walks up to you and says “hello” in every Asian language they know waiting to land on the right one and see your eyes light up as they ingratiate themselves to you. 🤷‍♀️

@micaswyers Pretty much. I took a tour bus day trip to see Van Gogh and Monet locations. The languages offered on my tour day were English and Japanese. All day they kept trying to bump me to the Japanese group which got really annoying.

@micaswyers When I went to Paris I was reading an article about how not to look obviously American. Then I realized everyone would just assume I was from Asia.

@dine_and_dash Lima beans were my arch nemesis in childhood.

It’s weird to think that I grew up despising lima beans, but now I’m eating a dish with them mixed it & if I’m not looking, I can’t even tell that I’m eating a lima bean. (Ok maybe it’s not weird at all, just weird to me, because I thought for sure I’d pick them out one by one)

@krissymmurphy @therunchat It’s not a handheld but I love love my Orange Mud hydraquiver pack. Easy to refill on the go because it’s a bottle instead of a bladder.
