@DavidMarra @Michel_Nilsson @Bill_Linnane Perhaps meaning they are priced high so the flippers can’t scoop up limited release bottles and flip them for that big payoff? If a bottle will flip for €XXX, and the producer charges that up front, they realize the gain, not the flippers. Not good for the drinker, either way.

@Michel_Nilsson @Bill_Linnane No they’re not. Flippers buy to flip when there’s a quick profit. There’s no quick profit on bottles that are overpriced at retail.

That’s a death knell, as rumors a year ago that Broadcom would kill off relationships with smaller customers comes to pass.

Did a spot check of Jacksonville, Orlando, and Tampa; no Sliabh Liag products in those stores. Even poking around the San Diego stores, it was hit and miss on which stores carried expressions. Didn't find Midnight listed at any of them.

New from The Irishman - a travel retail exclusive 22-year-old single malt; matured in bourbon casks for 21 years, then 12 months in tawny port casks from the Douro Valley. Bottled at 49.43% and NCF, it is the first double-distilled expression in The Irishman range. RRP is €500.

@IrishWhiskeyUSA I'm 30/35, though with Limavady being SiBs, it's doubtful I tried the one pictured. I have bottles of GS Quails' Gate, The Irishman CS 2023, and MVR VR 2023 (which incorrectly listed as SPS--it's a blend), but haven't gotten to opening them yet. Missing the Portmagee & Slainté.

How many have you tried?

@RoamerDC UK prices have become a lot less reasonable of late. Can’t imagine why that could be… I had a bottle of Triple Triple once and it was perfectly OK but am in no rush to get another. The Black Bush 80/20 and The Tyrconnell stand out here.

At Heathrow T4 I see the Irish whiskey selection across the LHR terminals has standardised into this bloc. Nothing exciting or unusual. A few good ‘regular’ whiskeys; Black Bush 80/20 (a must-have), Jameson Black Barrel (lovely) and the Tyrconnell (amazing price just GBP19.49)…

@AsiaIrish Jameson Triple Triple is a decent pour, but a bit pricey at £34.99. I pick it up at duty free travelling between US & CA and get it for 2/$50 USD (£39.57). 🥃
