@MrTs_NQTs Hello, are you doing any more of these? Or is there a recording of this. Thank you.

I’ve been away for a bit. We haven’t been having the best time, to be honest. I’ve noticed a few things happening with Ofsted and their supporters recently, and I’ve written about it. Ofsted, of course, are driving on regardless. difficultlessons.wordpress.com/2026/03/17/dri…

School leaders are fed up with the lack of respect, understanding & appreciation from DfE & Ofsted. I resent the extra pressure & its toll on me, colleagues & our wellbeing. We're working extremely hard in uncharted territory facing unprecedented challenges in a changed world. We deserve far better.

To imply that there is a culture of low expectations is infuriating, insulting & unfair to everyone who’s giving their all in an increasingly pressured system and already doing so much more with so much less. Thank you to every person working so hard to get our chn over the line.

@Emma_Turner75 Same for me. It made me the teacher I am today. I had to respond to the moment, adapt instantly and use every moment as a learning opportunity.

When I first started teaching there was no PowerPoint,no digital projection whatsoever & no laptops. Learning the craft ‘analogue’ was a brilliant experience & sharpened all aspects of teaching; I’d still always choose real pen and real board over digital almost 100% of the time.
Sam Strickland@Samstricko181

Teaching with just a pen is a hugely under-estimated art that can have a profound impact on pupil learning…. It relies on the teaching being the expert.

@JamieGBarry @rob_kelsall So sorry the report doesn’t reflect all that you do. Sadly, I’m hearing the same from so many heads and leaders. Nothing has changed except the bar has been raised. Keep doing what you do for the children, They’re what matter, not Ofsted, who are well past their sell-by date!

@OutdoorEdChat Bit of personal news for the team, as per one of my posts the other day. I've been diagnosed with Leukaemia. I'm absolutely fine, and will be monitored several times a year, but wanted to share the news. It's not something I'm keeping a secret, and will be fundraising this year🎗️

Play is learning PLAY IS LEARNING Play is strongly linked to learning in young children, especially in areas such as problem-solving, language acquisition, literacy, numeracy, and social, physical, and emotional skills.

So yesterday was fun! Apparently I have an enlarged spleen, gallstones, low liver function, low platelets, high(ish) cholesterol and jaundice. Loads of blood tests yesterday, an x-ray and an ultrasound. Now waiting to hear back about what needs to happen next. @NHS are 🔥💯
