Grafted their bollocks off. Absolutely ragdolled them in that first half. Second half wasn’t pretty, but was never going to be when you’re 3-0 up away from home. Thought Macadam was immense.

I don’t want to overreact based on recency bias, but David Ajiboye is the greatest footballer in the world.

Above all, that was a great watch. A lot to be said for having grafters in, thought Wearne was excellent and really like Embleton out wide, Armstrong running his pan in as usual too. Ajiboye - 🐐

@SLocksCUFC Think you’re off the mark tbh. Gilliead is a bit of a litmus test for understanding the roles of some midfielders. He shouldn’t be compared with Whelan. Regardless of ‘presence’ I could almost guarantee that Gilliead makes more tackles, interceptions and recoveries vs HM.

@RobElder88 Macadam brings a more physical presence to the midfield, needed alongside Whelan imo Whelan does what Gilliead tries to do but better - he shows more for it from CBs and is much more active (CCC was having to come deep to get the ball) Gilliead poor defensively, ball watcher

That was painful. Didn’t get even remotely close to them. I don’t have a clue what our identity is? What is it we’re actually trying to do to score goals? Think Kelly’s interview spoke a few truths. Zero positives, but Alex Gilliead deserves to hold his head up.

@SLocksCUFC I agree Whelan should start, but over Macadam. Gilliead, especially first half, was very good. Completely disagree that he doesn’t get on the ball. He doesn’t hit Hollywood passes etc but he calms things down, wins it back, and keeps it.

@RobElder88 Gilliead? He just follows MacAdam about the whole game. Never looks to get on the ball and when he does he often does nothing with it. The thing that annoys me most is how much of a liability he is defensively, saw him lose his man on the edge of the box 5 times. Start Whelan

@Halpinforpope Yeah. It’s madness. I simply can’t accept that some of these lads are as bad as they’re made to look by the lack of tactics. The level some have played at and how much they were loved by fans of other teams, yet we can’t get anything from them.

@RobElder88 Couldn’t agree more, we’ve not had a plan all season other than give it to Linney and hope for the best. Now that he is woefully out of form we look devoid of ideas. We are slow, struggle to retain possession and are prone to awful defensive mistakes, a receipe for disaster.

@carlisl9125 Are you actually reading anything? We’ve been relegated, and it’s fair to question the signings themselves and how we play and how poor some results have been. But we have thrown money at it, signing after signing, plenty of wages - and that’s your point, is it not?

@RobElder88 @CUFCLJ That's because it's right. Not enough investment on the pitch, it's clear. Losing points to Solihull. Unacceptable. I never said commercial and hospitality are responsible for recruitment! Too much emphasis is on hospitality. Get the team promoted.

@In5ertHandle As does every team who win anything. You don’t play well every week, and it’s arrogance to expect we will, especially against a side who were unbeaten in 9 going in to it. You’re always going to scrape results, every win can’t be at a canter.

@RobElder88 That result has been coming. We've scraped results out very the last month and played badly.

Painful watch that. We really struggle when teams camp in. But my god our fan base are reactionary and miserable. Suddenly Hughes needs sacked, Linney is wank and CCC needs sent back. Some of the tweets and Facebook comments are equally as much of a shan as that performance.
