It's incredible how a start time can be different on the team website, conference website, & NCAA website at the same time... #d3hky

@DIIIHockeyNews As an NCHA Parent, I would happily pay for a service that provided all of the games, in a single spot, with reliable sound and video quality. As long as the service has quality, no one should mind paying for it.

I mean this with as much respect as possible (to the schools), but a lot of these programs (east & west) will simply be charging the parents and families of the players to watch.
There's a handful of programs that can charge a PPV model and make great $, but there just isn't a PPV league-based market for "casual" fans yet, they'll turn on D-I hockey on ESPN+ instead...

@DIIIHockeyNews @D3Direct We’ve come to the reality of college athletics. Buses aint cheap, paying officials aint cheap, paying game management/works aint cheap, food for road games aint cheap. We’ve unfortunately just reached that time in d3 athletics

@511Ontario Just drove east on 401 and all of your signs as far west as Grafton still say the eastbound 401 is closed at exit 599. At 1:00pm - 13 hours after your reopening tweet. These signs have no value if people can’t trust them.

@MikePMoffatt Thanks Mike - I appreciate the response! Love reading your insights.

@RobEmerson My guess is that they’ve probably fallen in % terms, but likely risen a fair bit in $. But I can’t confirm that, so thought it was best to leave as a constant %.
English

@MikePMoffatt I understand that it's not one of the largest cost components, but why is no one calling out that even *IF* builder margins haven't grown as a % (which I find surprising) that the same 12% is now earning almost almost $49,000+ profit on every home?

@DIIIHockeyNews So many great storylines to chase. Like how/when/whether the physicality we’re seeing in @thepwhlofficial starts to evolve the style of play and officiating in college hockey. Would be a great question to ask some coaches what they think is coming.

And then all you have left is the tweeters.

As the NCAA women's hockey season nears, it seems a fitting time to remind the world there are SEVEN men's NCAA D1 programs in Michigan and ZERO women's NCAA D1 programs in the state:

If you’re excited about the launch of @thepwhlofficial you’ve got to check out the extensive coverage by @TheHockeyNewsW. I’m pretty sure @IanKennedyCK hasn’t slept in a week with all the bylines that feature his name. Check out all the stories: thehockeynews.com/womens/pwhl

@IanKennedyCK @TheHockeyNews @TheHockeyNewsW This list seems to assume the focus will be on market expansion in year 1- but I think it's possible they focus on market solidification at first. I could see games in "nearby" smaller markets - Peterborough, Barrie, Niagara, Kingston - like the PWHPA OHL series last year...

Neutral site games? Here's a look at some of the leading contenders for locations to host a PWHL neutral site game this season.

I’ve worked with a lot of politicians & political staff over the past 25 years.
I’ll tell you this: I’ve never met a political Chief of Staff who hasn’t been tied at the hip with the politician they serve. That’s the job - to do the bidding of the elected member.
The idea that Ryan Amato, the Minister of Housing’s Chief of Staff, led what would be a highly contentious and smarmy process in direct conflict with public policy by selecting land for removal from the Greenbelt - and acted independently in doing so - is beyond ridiculous.
It’s incredulous. Both the Premier and the Minister need to come clean.
Maybe Ontarians were not paying attention before. But we are paying attention now. #GreenbeltScandal

@MikePMoffatt While colleges and uni’s were aggressively increasing enrolment, I bet the number of new units of student housing they built over same period (direct or through partnerships) is minuscule. Do you think this is big enough to be a factor in the overall housing market in Ontario?
English

@MikePMoffatt Oh wait - 22-23 domestic number is 162,357 - not 62,357. Missed the 1 hiding between the columns. 😁
English

@MikePMoffatt If I’m reading this chart correctly, total college enrolment has dropped by ~38,000 over this period? Something seems off…
English

@alancross Isn’t there some in between, where the final price has to be the advertised price but the breakdown is still shown? It’s not the fees per se that people hate, it’s the bait-and-switch that happens when you checkout.
English

Ticketmaster is moving to all-in pricing. This will change concert tickets. #musicnews dlvr.it/SqqH6w
