Nothing like getting a bargaining update that you are no longer in bargaining and instead taking a strike vote. All seemed to be headed in the right direction and now the potential of a transit strike in Vancouver during the Fifa World Cup is a strong possibility.

The Emergency Alert System is a vital tool. The 1am Amber Alert in BC gave me a jump scare. In my panic to silence the alarm I deleted the message before seeing it. Perhaps a two step system, touch screen once to silence then press "OK " to clear,would ensure more people see it.
