@Joeingram1 Speedpoker essentially eliminated this type of player style - any time wasted trying to leverage speech play 15s to act on each player action If player fails to act and is facing a bet, and time expires, the hand is dead/ not facing a bet = check

It’s not lost on me how fortunate it is to play in the World Series of #Poker Main Event year after year, so instead of posting about my experience, I wanted to highlight the players at my table this year, which had 6 Main Event first-timers! This is who was at Horseshoe Blue, Table 404, on day 1C: Seat 1: Igor, 70 years young, originally from Russia, now residing in Toronto, Canada. First time playing the main! Seat 2: Matt, 42, from Denver, CO, works in IT, first WSOP main because…FOMO finally got him! We feel you! Seat 3: Chris looks 25 but is 39, a software engineer from Los Angeles, CA; celebrity crush growing up was Gwen Stefani, a first-timer in the main! Seat 4: Dylan, 26, pro player from San Antonio, TX. Second time playing the main, first and only tournament of the year, rocking an ace of spades tatt. Seat 5: Tyler, 37, from Dallas, TX. Fun fact: he dealt the final hand of last year's main event! His first time playing the main. Seat 6: Hugo, 47, an engineer from Peru. First time in Vegas ever and first main event! Highlight of his trip so far- riding the High Roller at The LINQ. Seat 7: Wendy, 69, from Chesterfield, England. Has only been playing poker for two years. Founded the National Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline. First main event! Seat 8: me Seat 9: John, 51, Las Vegas local, professional poker player. I used to play $40/80 limit hold em with him at the Commerce 15+ years ago! I thought our whole table would make it to day 2, but sadly, Igor and Wendy busted the last level of the night. It was one of the most enjoyable day 1 tables I’ve ever had.

When I founded the @PokerTDA in 2001 the idea was then and still is today to have a universal standardized set of poker tournament rules for everyone. For home games, charity events, bar leagues, daily tournaments, to WSOP, EPT, and WPT events and that vision hasn’t changed. I don’t think having a different set of rules for higher buy-ins would be beneficial to the industry as a whole because many players dream of going from their home games to the biggest tournaments in the world and the rules should be the same when they get to that level. I’ve always encouraged players of all levels to learn the rules because it could be worth millions of dollars at some point in their poker journey. I have also worked with players and industry people since the beginning to get input on how the rules are formed. The rule discussions happening at the upcoming TDA Summit June 29-30th @PokerGo Studio are open to debate if something needs to be added, changed, or eliminated. PokerTDA.com

It was an incredible moment to sit with @NickSchulman after he won his fifth @WSOP bracelet a few nights ago. Nick is unbelievably humble about his achievements, while being very open and honest regarding his legacy and status among some of poker's current great players. He didn't have to give me the time after countless winner photos and interviews, but the fact that he sat with me for 10+ minutes showed what kind of individual he is. Listen to my interview with Nick on the @PokerGO Podcast here: bit.ly/4bXZb3p

@junglemandan youtube.com/watch?v=Jk6Zjy… We tried many years ago Jungle - but players prefer the soft approach of giving players the benefit when time banks expire - I do not agree with this method, and rolling out clocks in landbased is a lot easier than people think - Kitchen timer for $5

@Tim__Duckworth @_antonio_abrego . (Verse 2) Now, I'm not one to back down from a bet, But this one, mate, was as wild as it gets. A game of cards with a kangaroo, With stakes so high, it felt too good to be true. But luck ain't always on your side, And that 'roo had a poker face I couldn't abide.

@Tim__Duckworth @_antonio_abrego Out in the bush, where the red dust flew, I found myself in a tight spot, me and a 'roo. (Chorus) I hogtied a kangaroo, down by the billabong, Underneath that Outback moon, something went wrong. With a deck of cards and a cowboy's grin, I never thought I'd be roping a kangaroo in
