Great piece of policy this. Gas prices have driven wholesale prices sky high in recent years, and the more cheap renewables we can get on to the grid, the more they get pushed out.

Hydrogen advocates can't fight the fact that 1USD/kg H2 = 54USD/bbl of oil in term of GJ. Trying to sell H2 at 4-5USD/kg is equivalent to someone trying to sell a barrel of oil at 200-250USD/bbl. You can lobby all you want, you can whinge until you run out of tears, you can subsidise all you want, thermodynamics are unforgiving.
