I’m a teacher. I am strongly opposed false narratives in education and will tell you if I feel you are trying to divert attention from the truth.

@TheDA_UK You are only collecting this information in an attempt to reduce the credibility of an organisation designed to promote high standards in health care. Unions, of course, wanted lower standards for more pay.

@TheDA_UK Actually no. Those affected should simply contact the GMC, who will conduct an assessment and self report. There are defined processes around this that do NOT involve unions. It is none of your business.

We are aware of reports that some SAS and locally employed doctors have been subject to a personal data breach by the GMC. If you received an email on 7th April in which other recipients’ email addresses were visible, we would like to hear from you. We are investigating and will update shortly.

@Heccles94 They are demonising themselves but dancing to the union’s tune. Fools.

@gryindub @Heccles94 Yes they could. Then we could privatise and get better standards.

@RobShellfish @Heccles94 I mean, they could always move to countries that would actually pay them. These spoiled, entitled brats work hard to get the highest A-Level grades, spend hours, years and decades of their lives dedicated to learning and helping people. How dare they want better pay???

@gryindub @Heccles94 Yes good. Then we can privatise and actually expect efficiency and standards, because unions will effectively be neutered in hospitals.

@RobShellfish @Heccles94 Lol, the big difference and everyone else is what they do - the sacrifices and time and the cost to them. Their counterparts in countries like Ireland, US, CAN, Ger, SWZ, NZ, Aus etc get paid way freaking more for far less time in training. I would urge them all to move!

@gryindub @Heccles94 I am married to a senior consultant who is quite clear on the difference between his generation of doctors and those from now. The expectations on residents are vastly reduced.

@RobShellfish @Heccles94 Contrary to popular belief - you are not entitled to doctors. If they feel the compensation isn’t worth their time they can demand for more. Doctors were getting paid more in 1975, 50% more, by the NHS, are they more altruistic or less entitled? Go be boring somewhere else

@gryindub @Heccles94 Fully aware that it’s a move towards privatisation, which I fully approve of. Because on a privatised system, it is much easier to for better standards from employees and far easier to get rid of dead weights. It also completely fucks over unions.

@RobShellfish @Heccles94 The govt is fooling you people and you’re falling for it. Every decision made about the NHS has been to intentionally weaken it towards privatisation - and the public is acting exactly how british public does. The most pacified population, such a shame

@Heccles94 A deliberately misleading statement. Because benefits are not only for the ill and disabled. People are clearly against benefits for people who don’t need them.

@Heccles94 GREAT Britain is an island. There is no Prime Minister of ‘Britain’. In fact, there is no ‘Britain’ at all. Are you stupid?

@gryindub @Heccles94 When FY1,2 and CT1-ST3 started they knew of a certain pay level. All of those five years’ worth have experienced a huge real-terms increase. Yet most of them seem to be striking. Entitled much?

@gryindub @Heccles94 They are not the only people who work hard for high grades but have found that the current financial climate is biting. The big difference between them and everyone else, though, is the massive increase in pay since almost all of them started.

@Heccles94 Start taxing unions for all of the malproductivity they create though demanding lower standards for higher pay.

@Heccles94 It only appears under funded and under staffed because those in the system are malproductive. If unions would get out of the way and just let people be instructed, disciplined and scrutinised, all would be well.

@Heccles94 All of the issues of NHS sustainability are clearly to do with lack of productivity rather than lack of people or funding. Of course many of those working in the profession say otherwise. But many working in the profession agree, too.

@TheBMA Your members can do something about it, too. Your idea of ‘doing something about it’ is giving in to the unions and giving them why they want. It’s time these outdated, outmoded and completely antiquated unions were put out to graze.

‘It feels like political games. They can do something about it, but they choose not to.’ Resident doctors began a six-day walkout yesterday after the Government moved the goalposts on a proposed pay increase at the last minute. thedoctor.bma.org.uk/articles/pay-c…
