📣Aldershot Town are thrilled to welcome Marcus Wyllie to the club this summer🤝 Marcus joins the Shots following the end of his contract at Gillingham where he spent the last two years of his career, a move that was earned after an incredibly successful season with Enfield Town where he contributed 34 goals and 15 assists in 49 games🔴🔵 His career began in the Mediterranean sunshine on the island nation of Cyprus, where he was born and played football from a young age. In 2016 Marcus made the switch to English Football, joining Berkhamsted FC in the lower divisions before eventually making the jump into the EFL with Gillingham. Scott Davies was full of praise, "Securing Marcus is fantastic news. He’s had really good experience of being in the EFL with Gillingham over the past couple of seasons, but it’s important that he now finds a home to play his football. He certainly knows where the back of the net is and the style in which he adopts off the ball is infectious. I know that he will run all day long and be a real nuisance for defenders in the league so I’m delighted that he’s signed". Everyone at the club would like to wish Marcus a very warm welcome and can confirm is available for sponsorship for the 26/27 season!

@wembleystadium was the destination for @SUFCRootsHall and @WealdstoneFC in the 2026 FA Trophy final and we were there too, naturally, to report on the Shrimpers' triumph. bit.ly/4dgxFS2

A year (& a day) on…this remains one of the finest moments in @OfficialShots history, and without doubt the commentary memory I will take with me to my grave! ❤️ 23 seconds of pure heaven and ecstasy! ⚽️❤️💙🎙️🙌

📣The club are delighted to announce the signing of Maltese international Basil Tuma. The 21-year-old joins permanently from Reading FC, where he began his footballing career, and now finds a new permanent home at the EBB. He spent a portion of last season on loan at Slough, where he began to build a good relationship with Scott Davies, a running theme for lots of the new signings already, and the upcoming season will be a great opportunity for him to showcase his ability in the Enterprise National League. Scott Davies said "Basil is someone that I’ve worked with before and was arguably the best attacking player we had at Slough last season whilst on loan from Reading. There’s no pressure that comes with signing Basil, but I know for a fact that when he’s on it he will be one of the best forward players in the division. He’s the fans favourite type with his enthusiasm, skill and I can wait to get going with him this summer". The club would like to welcome Kevin Watson to the coaching team for the upcoming season🤝 Aside from his coaching career, Kevin saw plenty of success as a player for the likes of, Tottenham, Swindon, Colchester and Luton, where he transitioned into a player-coaching role. His longest spell was at Colchester, where he played over 150 games and recorded 27 goal contributions. Scott Davies said" Kev Watson has joined the management team as first team coach. Yet again, Kev will be a fantastic addition for myself and the group of staff and players. He’s managed at the level before when at Ebbsfleet, and been at various other clubs too. He will be playing an important role working alongside Mark Jones in the bulk of the day-to-day coaching. To have the experience of both Mark and Kev is valuable to me and I’m extremely excited to get working with them soon in pre-season". We would all like to give a very warm welcome to Kevin and look forward to his involvement at the club👏

The club can confirm that we have agreed an undisclosed fee for Josh Barrett to move from Aldershot Town to an unnamed club for the 2026/27 season and beyond. I don't think there's a Shots fan out there who doesn't agree that what Josh did here at Aldershot Town was magic! Having recently joined the Shots 100 club, Josh accumulated over 40 goals and assists for the club in that time. A couple of the many key moments in a Shots shirt, include a beautiful Boxing Day free-kick against rivals Woking and his hat-trick against Oldham Athletic in a 3-1 away win for the Shots. Needless to say, a huge part of our Wembley success, where he scored an absolute screamer in the final to make it 3-0 to the Shots, a moment I'm sure every single fan will never forget! Shots manager Scott Davies had this to say "Firstly, it’s a huge thanks to Josh for what he’s done for this football club during his time here. From afar I have always seen that Josh has been a fan's favourite in the way he plays the game and admire his undoubted ability as a footballer. Josh made it evidently clear that with a young family, he wanted security by having more than one year left on his current contract. From a club's point of view, it was difficult to offer Josh a new and improved deal at this time so we’ve reluctantly accepted an offer from elsewhere. We thank Josh for his time at the club and wish him well in the future". He's got magic in his boots, he bleeds red and blue, Shots fans, join us in thanking Josh Barrett for all his efforts during his 2 and a half years here, once a Shot, always a Shot!

📣Aldershot Town are pleased to announce the signing of Jacob Borgnis🔴🔵 Hailing from New Zealand, Jacob enjoyed a very successful loan period at Slough last season, and you can hear all about his career by heading to our website!

🤝Aldershot Town are excited to announce the signing of Michee Efete📝 Michee becomes Scott Davies' 6th signing ahead of the 26/27 season, joining the club after recently playing at Yeovil Town🔴🔵 Throughout his career, the 29 year old has enjoyed lengthy spells at Ross County, Grimsby Town and Norwich City where he began his career. Michee has also experienced playing overseas with a loan spell with Breidablik Kopavogur in Iceland! Scott Davies said " Michee comes with a wealth of experience having been promoted from the National League previously. Since then he’s played in the Football League and the Scottish Premiership, so will be important for us throughout the back line. He’s also extremely versatile and can play in different positions which is key when building a squad".
