@RobMcLamb RIP. The Hitcher scared the dickens out of me as a kid. I'd rather have been attacked by the clown in Poltergeist than taken a car ride with Rutger Hauer.

@ebosshoops That looks very, very bad. Do they have separate water fountains, too?

Now that Zion Williamson has signed with Jordan Brand, it serves notice once again that branding can overcome even years of grassroots investment. Just think how much *total* value Michael Jordan has provided to Nike.

@maxkellerman Is this the third time you have broadcast one of these tragedies? You must really love the sport.

@GoldenCalebT Agreed. If you can't leave the ring fully under your own power, should automatically be a gurney situation. Too much risk.

Get the camera off Dadashev, get him on a gurney, and get him to the hospital ASAP. That looks bad. #LopezNakatani #boxing

I hope ESPN+ didn't just make a big mistake showing a fighter in distress after a bout. Crossed the line, in my opinion.

The #USWNT should probably be Prime Minister now that they've successfully facilitated Brexit.

@ClayDade @Teelittle0608 That camp had tons of talent. I still have a lot of the old head shots and some video from it. I featured Nas in my report for Scout. Congratulations to you guys.

That is, without question, one of the most shocking things I've ever seen in sports. And *that's* why you don't marinate fights. Andy Ruiz, HW champ!

It's nights like this that I miss classic HBO boxing. Everything about this DAZN card is awful. The fights, obviously, but also the production and commentary. There's no tension at all inside MSG.

@ebosshoops Strong words. I know you saw freshman LeBron James, at least in the state playoffs broadcast. Better than that, or are you referring strictly to players you saw in person?

Been thinking about the best freshmen that I have ever seen after Emoni Bates today. He’s definitely in the top few and maybe best. Greg Oden and Derrick Rose come to mind as others who made as strong of a first year impression in years past.

This seems like an opportune time to talk Damian Lillard. My man @ebosshoops and I stumbled onto a random court in April 2007 in Las Vegas and saw him lighting it up in an off-brand game. Wish we'd seen him more.

Quite a day for UNC basketball, getting Cole Anthony and Anthony Harris. One immediate star in the mold of Coby White; one potential multi-year starter in the mold of prior championship players.

@WorldWideWob @CompuBox To answer the question, though, the reason is that they are too big. Fights start at the same range as for everyone else, but they can't extend their arms properly. So they overshoot & miss, throw roundhouses to cut the angle or weird cuffing slaps like Shaq against Robertson

@WorldWideWob Does swinging at fans count? Wasn't it Jermaine O'Neal who was preparing to throw a monster punch at a fan in the Detroit brawl, but he slipped? I wonder how that would register.

@RonMFlores I agree, but I mean it in terms of his career arc. There were people who thought Foreman might severely injure a past prime Ali. It was a stunning and shockingly easy win.

@Rob_Harrington Rob, hard to compare a violent sport like boxing, to golf. Guys have won majors older than Tiger is today. Still incredible comeback story.

Tiger winning today was his Rumble in the Jungle moment, when Ali beat Foreman in Zaire. But Tiger is more than a decade older than Ali was at that time. Incredible.
