Cultural immersion for students taking our Gold Coast Surf Culture and Storytelling class. They learn about Aboriginal salt water culture and investigate spiritual connections.

My first Soviet-era camera. I’ve been looking around for an affordable vintage travel 6x9, and this Moskva5 rangefinder fits the bill. I just hope it arrives before I leave for the UK in a few weeks 😬

Simple #mojo set up - Rode Wireless Go into Rode AI Micro with headphones and BlackMagic Camera app.

@MarcSettle @EdinReporter Split will not work with the AI, only one mic will record. It must be stereo and into Input1. Both mics are then mono tracks and I change them to stereo in the edit.

@Rob_Layton @EdinReporter Why do you have two mics into one port of the AI? That must be related to why you use Stereo and not Split…?

@EdinReporter Surf resort? In Scotland in winter?? Maybe we should do a joint byline. Seriously, I’d be interested in doing a story on that.

@EdinReporter I have my WirelessPros set to Stereo because I record both mics in the AI-Micro, and the cable needs to go into the Mic1 input. I’ll be in Edinburgh for a few days before Christmas if you’re around, Phyllis.

@Rob_Layton I can’t recall now why I deleted BlackMagic but seeing your photo have downloaded it again and will give it a whirl. What setting are you using on your Wireless Go mics… or mic?! Had reverted to native camera after the demise of Filmic….

I’ve not really bothered with Camera Control - seemed a bit of a gimmick - but in the BMD app it’s a much better experience. BMD’s commitment to this app and mobile filmmaking is impressive and should be applauded.
