Texas deploys Jelani McDonald (#4) all over its defense, and with good reason. His football IQ and consistency as a tackler (only 5 missed tackles last season) make him a chess piece. McDonald played 50.5% of his snaps at safety, 23.5% in the box, and 22.9% at nickel in 2025.
