I never thought I’d be writing posts like this. Watching my 21-month-old grandson and his daily fight changes everything. Elijah has already been critically ill multiple times, but he keeps fighting through it all. All we want is to give him a chance at a normal start in life and give him a future. This is Elijah ❤️ He’s just 21 months old… and already fighting for his life. Born with a rare heart condition (Ebstein’s anomaly), he has been critically ill multiple times and has even needed ventilation to survive — but every time, he’s fought his way back. He’s under the care of Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, with support from Boston Children’s Hospital. He will need life saving open-heart surgery specifically the Cone Procedure to have any chance at a normal life. @RobbStansfield My son has Ebsteins Anomaly, he had the cone procedure 2 years ago. Hes 9 years old now, no longer on any medication and thriving (was on 7 doses a day) The early years were the scariest, have faith in the doctors. Sending you positive vibes!

I’m reaching out about my 21-month-old grandson, Elijah, who is facing a life-threatening heart condition called Ebstein’s anomaly. Since before he was born, we knew he would face challenges — but in his short life, he has already been critically ill multiple times, including needing ventilation support to stay alive. Each time, he has fought his way back with incredible strength. Elijah is currently under the care of the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital in the UK, with additional support and oversight from world renowned cardiologists at Boston Children’s Hospital in the United States. As he grows, Elijah will require major open-heart surgery specifically the Cone Procedure to give him any chance of a normal, healthy life. As a family, we are doing everything we can to support him, but we are now facing the reality of the huge financial challenges that come with his ongoing care, potential international treatment, and recovery. Elijah is a real child, in a real fight, who needs help to get the chance every child deserves.
