It is always difficult in such moments to find the right words – especially as I am writing in English – but I just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone. We have shared so many amazing moments over the past two years but above everything, I will take away the many new friends I have made at Aston Villa. Thank you to Unai and Damian for bringing me here, to the backroom staff, the players and everyone who works so hard behind the scenes at the football club. And, of course, to the owners Nassef, Wes and Michael for the confidence they showed in me. It has also been nice to work with Francesco again. Lastly, a big thank you to the supporters. We have enjoyed so many special moments together. I will be always a villan. The time has come for me to continue in another way but I cannot forget these last two years.
