Following his recent health problems, Stan (and Val) have decided to step back from masterminding the REF and have asked @RobbieDyer to take over the organisation. It’s a sad day but perfectly understandable so we say a huge thank you for their magnificent efforts over 20 years.

@ItsKarlWest I think it probably is. I seem to remember back in the day that someone like Dave Jessup or Gordon Kennett did two 15 point maximums on one day. A question that will no doubt be covered in the Speedway Star soon.

@PirateCast Given the way in which the averages are calculated I.e. over the last 20 eligible meetings, big swings up or down are rare these days and for that reason I believe Richard will top the Poole list again. I’m not sure he can further increase his figure whereas all the others can.

@Paul_Burbidge Agree and I would have thought that Chris Louis (notwithstanding his club position) as a board member of the BSPL would have given more consideration to the wording/criticism contained in his most recent post on X.

I didn't watch Leicester v Ipswich as I'm in Denmark ahead of Saturday's #FIMSpeedwayGP, but some tweets directed at last night's referee Christina Turnbull are absolutely disgusting. By all means disagree with her decisions. But she's a human being - and a decent one at that.
