Today I am honored to announce that I will be serving as the new President of the Triad Real Estate and Building Industry Coalition (TREBIC). This is a great organization that works with various stakeholders to promote a vibrant real estate industry. Our work at TREBIC is going to be more important than ever with all of the new jobs that are coming to the Triad region. We must prepare for sustained growth in housing, commercial, and industrial sectors. I am honored to have this opportunity, and I look forward to the work ahead.

The following is a post from one of my business partners at NAI Earle Furman in Greenville, SC. Greensboro needs to come up with a Downtown plan, pay attention to detail, and spend the money it has wisely. Leadership needs to step up. Average is not acceptable.

Every city’s downtown should look like this on a beautiful Saturday morning. Local governments need to invest in creating a sense of place and/or allow private developers to do so. My city has done a phenomenal job of this - especially public/private partnerships. Every downtown COULD have this. It’s all about good decisions. Hold the decision makers accountable.
